Zynga is looking for an experienced Director of Community to focus on the community and member collaboration aspects of user experience. Collaborative aspects of the member experience are an important element driving member engagement, support success, satisfaction, and user retention.
The ideal candidate will have several years experience product managing a consumer focused website at a senior level. They will be able to point to projects where they have shown success in innovating around the product experience. Candidates should have proven team management experience in social gaming community sites or websites with a social aspect to them. Being able to demonstrate a personal passion for social networks or games will be a distinct advantage – and will bring perspective and insight into this role.

Responsibilities:
• Recommend continual product experience improvements and enhancements based on ongoing customer research & feedback, site usage & performance, and competitive analysis
• Develop support strategy to provide community-only based support for non-funded channels
• Focus on initiatives and improvements to the site experience that will drive collaboration between members
• Develop detailed product requirements and launch plans
• Directly manage the Community staff, including external site monitors
• Partner with cross-functional teams including UI Design, Engineering, QA, Marketing, PR, Business Development, Finance, and Customer Support through the product development process
• Interact directly with members and category influencers through blogs, message board posts, user forums, conferences, etc.
• Define success metrics and reporting needs to monitor post-launch performance
• Work closely with PMs to understand and optimize user experience and flows
Required Skills:
• 5-7 years of relevant community management experience with a proven track record, preferably with a social, gaming or consumer-facing web services brand
• Previous experience with community or member collaboration features is ideal
• Strong technical understanding of internet technologies and the operations of a commercial website
• Web development/design experience a plus
• Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work well in cross-functional teams
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with little direction
• B.S. or B.A. degree required; MBA preferred
