The role is a step daughter that has relations with her step father. (no nudity). The part only has about 40 lines, but they are spread throughout the movie. We are looking for an actress or aspiring actress (18-30 years) to star in a short movie. We need some one who has a unique look that is great with facial expressions. This movie will rely on your ability to illustrate your feelings through your facial expressions and body controls.

You don�t need a ton experience but as long as you are a student of acting and you are passionate about it. The short movie will be around 5 minutes long and will be used to compete in upcoming movie festivals.

Eventually we plan to produce a full movie version in an interactive environment that allows viewers to be more involved. We would disclose the details if you are interested. We plan to have you be part of it also if we collaborate successfully.

We have a team of professionals who is passionate and dedicated in making movies. We also graduated from U.C. Berkeley and have experience in producing/directing large musical plays.

Hello. I am an aspiring director and screenwriter. I am senior at San Francisco State University studying film. For a class project, I am shooting a scene from the screenplay Deep Cover in San Francisco. I'm looking for an actress to play the role of Belinda . I have attached a copy of the scene to this posting. This is an unpaid position, however, I will provide you with a copy of the completed film as well as a possible future partnership. This is a one-day shoot that will take place between November 16th to December 4th . The shoot will take no more than 4 hours . Drinks and snacks will be provided. Hey Bay Area Artists, I am an actor from the Bay that just moved to LA to make it happen for me and my kids! Anyways I will dropping off our Headshots to busy Casting Offices monthly. With the new pilot season coming up they will be looking for new faces! It sucks that Trauma is getting cut, but there is still a lot of work that we need to get! SHORT FILM CASTING ASIAN ACTORS (sunset / parkside)

"The Sunset" is a movie about Wen Ping, a Chinese-American teenager who works at his family�s liquor store for Winter Break. Wen, along with his friend Johnny Murphy, smuggle kegs of beer from the liquor store and make money selling the beer to teenagers in the neighborhood. One day, his older brother, Tran, catches Wen and threatens to expose him unless he stops doing business with Johnny immediately. What will Wen do when he must choose between his Chinese family and his Irish-American friends? "The Sunset" is a gritty drama that deals with teenage violence and substance abuse along with the racial undertones that accompany San Francisco�s largest working-class residential district.

This is the NYU Thesis Film for director Misha Sundukovskiy.

ROLE BREAKDOWNS:

WEN PING (18-22) - A quiet, shy kid who works at his family's liquor store to help his family. Gets caught up in the middle of his Irish friends and older brother. Desperately wants out of his situation. Mandarin and/or Cantonese-speaking preferred, but not required.

TRAN PING (24-30) - Late 20s. Wen's tough, intimidating older brother. Tran has a strong dislike for the Irish kids in the neighborhood. Finds out his younger brother has been hanging out with them and reacts violently. Wants to keep his neighborhood for his own people. Mandarin and/or Cantonese fluency REQUIRED.

AUDITION DATES: Tuesday, November 17th
CALLBACK (if needed): Wednesday, November 18th.
SHOOTS: January 8-15, 2010 (rehearsals in late December)

We are a start-up in San Francisco with a brand new weekly sports show that will be broadcast live across multiple platforms. This sports show will have a Bay Area Local Focus but will include national stories and hot topics of the week in Football, Basketball, and Baseball and quite possibly other sports. If you feel comfortable enough with your sports knowledge to go on-camera, shoot from the hip, and back your opinions up with real facts, then this show might be right in your wheelhouse. The collaboration could be remote or we could record in my studio.
Remote collaboration implies that you have some experience with recording software and you have proper interface and microphone. You don�t need to have expensive equipment and I can always provide guidelines on what to get to do proper recordings.

I am open in producing/remixing your own melodies/tracks and also working on my ideas. Over the years I found that a good approach is making new songs is when we are in the studio and the vocalist follows the lead of some chord progressions on the piano. Kind of like musical brainstorming.

Please follow these guidelines to send me a demo of you singing.

1. The demo does not have to be of great recording quality. A talented vocalist can shine even when the recording is bad.
2. I prefer recordings where there is only voice (ie acapella)
3. I prefer recordings without effects (dry) but if you have something that is already produced it is ok.
4. If you have musical education is a plus but not a must. (ie knowing how to play an instrument or took vocal lessons, know what singing on the right pitch means)
5. If you are not into trance and progressive then probably we will not be a good team.
6. Preferably, try to record on of the tracks above on your pc/mac make it an mp3 and send me a demo. Don�t worry about the quality of the recording.
7. Demos do not have to be long, ie 30 sec -1 min long.
8. Write a couple but no more, lines about yourself.
9. You can send me mp3s or links to download your tracks.
10. Here are is a link to a vocal I downloaded from the internet and a processed version of it. In the zip file you will find two mp3s, unprocessed which is the original file I downloaded and the processed with the type of processing that can be done in less than 30 seconds in a studio.

11. Pay attention to singing on the right pitch, good vibrato, phrasing (keep those long vowels at the end of the phrase) and expression.

Female Model - Outdoor Shoot (Colusa County)

We're scheduling a shoot one of the days Nov 23-25 (M-W prior to Thanksgiving). This is a "Maxim/Playboy" modeling job.

It is an easy shoot, natural light, with seasoned photographer. Its a paying job (plus gas money to get to location) plus you'll get digital copies of some of your shots for your portfolio.
Past shoots have been for hunting and fishing consumer clients..this shoot is for an online and print advertising campaign.

Wardrobe will be provided (must arrive make up ready) and you will be posing in and out of wardrobe (some nudity & implied) and with props (hunting apparel/equipment) in a couple of different set ups.
It is about an hour north of Sacramento - we are scheduling both sunrise and sunset shoots.

Recruiting dancers for punk rock showgirl troupe

Hi! I recently started a punkrock showgirl dance troupe called The Bombshells, and we are looking for new dancers. I am especially interested in women who have some dance training and who grew up (and/or are currently in) the punk scene. There is no significant compensation (yet!) but we have been performing an average of 1.5 times per month, and have done shows all over this city, including at Hubba Hubba Revue, Burning Man, DNA Lounge, fundraisers, etc. We rehearse in SOMA on average every other week. * Recorded one promotional CD and are ready to go with several others as soon as somebody wants to spend the cash
* Have had sweet four part harmonies in the past and can do pretty amazing things with three right now
* Are great at working together to do some striking arrangements
* Are fine with re-jiggering and re-learning our parts as we work with a new vocalist(s)
* Share rent on a space in West Oakland for practice on Monday nights

* Have a good personality and everyone likes you
* Can easily throw in a harmony to a new melody line you've just heard
* Might be able to improvise a 3rd part to two parts already going
* Aren't scared of very close and seemingly dissident harmony parts
* Are more or less an alto or are very comfortable singing there
* Have a great range, excellent dynamics, and good mic control
* Have experience in a performing vocal group of some kind, ideally a good one we can listen to
* Hopefully want to sing lead on a number of songs, and do it with feeling
* Are comfortable learning some existing vocal parts, as well as experimenting with us to arrange new ones
* Might play an instrument or several
* Might enjoy writing music and/or lyrics
* Have a good presence and are comfortable on stage, and aren't scared of a little bit of choreography
* Might be able to help us out with a little bit of much needed choreography
* Will come to practically all of our Monday practices, and will try to learn/remember your parts in between
* Will do everything you can to fit our two to four gigs a month into your schedule
* Might be willing to share some of the legwork with promotions, gigs, etc.
* Are over 21, are comfortable with bars, clubs, and the S.F. scene in general
* Should be able to pitch in with practice space rent, rides, and maybe recording down the road
