Cloudmark is looking for a talented Product Manager with experience in messaging security and OEM partner relations. This position requires a mix of external PM skills, including interfacing with sales, industry, and OEM partners to collect and prioritize product feedback, as well as internal PM skills to help provide product direction to engineering and work with marketing to inform customers and prospects of Cloudmarks product portfolio.
This role requires the following capabilities and responsibilities:
Manage a highly technical product line from conception through development, release, and maintenance cycles
Drive product direction consensus between multiple internal and external parties
Maintain ongoing messaging security competitive analysis documentation
Produce detailed MRD/PRD documents
Manage a portfolio of OEM partners who integrate Cloudmark SDKs into their own products or services
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
This role requires knowledge of the following:
Messaging anti-abuse technology and mitigation methodologies
High volume SMTP messaging
ISP and enterprise messaging server platforms
Databases, LDAP, and webmail technologies
Scripting and coding
Key Position Responsibilities/Objectives
High-touch interaction with OEM partners, including providing product roadmap overviews, collecting product feedback, assisting with marketing efforts, and providing product integration direction.
Work with two internal engineering teams to develop, package, and maintain software and associated service.
Work with product management team, research team, marketing, support, and sales to receive input on platform feature and functions.
Develop and maintain internal documentation on products including, internal product FAQs, sales decks, competitive kill sheets, and marketing material.
Work with sales team and partners to customers and prospects, provide roadmap overviews, integration and deployment guidance.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
User-level UNIX skills, especially Red Hat Linux
5+ years PM experience, history with releasing SaaS and/or security offerings
2+ years experience with software development and test processes
Familiarity with process implementation and improvement
Knowledge/experience in C programming is a plus
2+ years experience with messaging protocols and data repositories, such as SMTP, LMTP, LDAP, MySQL, and Oracle.
Education
MBA with technical business management focus preferred
University degree in computer science or engineering or equivalent experience a plus
