JiWire Senior Developer
Location: San Francisco (Near Post and Market)
JiWire is seeking a creative, talented and energetic Senior Developer to join our team to develop and extend our platform.
JiWire is the leading Wi-Fi advertising company, delivering premium advertising to laptop and mobile device users connected to Wi-Fi in 45 major airports, 12,000 hotels and 10,000 cafes including Starbucks. Due to massive growth for our advertising products and services, we are currently seeking a talented Lead Software/Web Developer that possesses strong experience with PHP5, Java, OOD patterns to work with our team in creating mission critical web applications for both internal and public use. We have a dominant presence in our industry. This is a hands-on role which includes planning, architecture, research, scheduling, coding, debugging, testing, and deployment. In addition, position will be responsible for coordinating development and rollout of features developed in-house and in parallel with other internal and external developers and teams.
Technical Requirements
Development with expert skills PHP5 Object Oriented Design and Patterns, Java, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX, C#, DOM, DHTML, XHTML, XML, and 5 years with a server side technology.
Experience building and working with standard Ad Networks, especially DoubleClick. Knowledge of the DoubleClick Java API, Ad Trafficking, IO workflow, and deep knowledge of how Ad networks function and operate.
Experience building and integrating AJAX and Javascript frameworks, specifically with ExtJS, jQuery, and other JavaScript frameworks.
Ability to build scalable, efficient event driven software for heavily trafficked sites.
Experience building and using Web services, JSON RPC, XML-RPC.
Experience connecting widgets/Ajax enabled features with MySQL, and other enterprise data sources.
Version control using SVN, Perforce or other source code control systems.
Flash, Actionscript 2 and 3, CS4 experience a big plus.
Comfortable with Apache, Resin, Tomcat and IIS webservers
Candidate Qualifications
BSCS or equivalent with 7 to 10 years of experience. MS preferred.
Innovative and creative problem solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment and individually
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Successful track record of large scale enterprise class development projects
Job Responsibilities
Hands-on, Self Starter, lead developer responsible for building, and maintaining internal/external web applications/sites and other systems development projects including integration with third party systems and reporting tools.
Mentor and guide other junior team members
Set programming standards and guidelines in areas of expertise
Responsible for analyzing assigned tasks, providing accurate work estimates, and keeping development on schedule
Salary: $90K+ as a starting point. We are opportunistic and would consider more for the right experience
