I need some help with some software I'm developing. Your job will be to both code as well as teach me what you are doing so I might be able to do that work in the future myself.
The things I need help with are:
- I've developed a grid computing application for use with Amazon EC2 / S3 .. However, I'm not sure how to turn the client application into a windows service so that it runs without a user having to log into the EC2 instance. And then I'm not sure how to launch a GUI application from that windows service, given that no user has logged in.
- My program is currently written in C#.. however I need to integrate with an API which is written in C. I know one solution is to write a C# wrapper - but I don't know how to go about doing that. And perhaps there are other better options anyway?
My application is highly speed sensitive so you should be highly knowledgeable of ways to optimize C code, C++ code, and C# code. Other than that you should be smart and fun to work with. You'll be working with me either in my apartment in SOMA or in a shared work space somewhere. I'm a 28 year old guy, just moved to SF, doing some cool stuff with programming.
There is potential that I may need/want to hire someone full time on an ongoing basis if I find the right person and business continues to go well.
