Sr. RF Design Engineer

Company is a leading provider of open, interoperable, policy-based network management software and communications products for the utility industry’s Smart Grid.

Responsibilities:
• The Sr RF Engineer will be responsible for contributing to the design and development of new and existing wireless and/or radio frequency (RF) systems, troubleshooting board level issues, maintaining
equipment and tools, developing test tools, and working with manufacturing engineering.

Requirements:
• Extensive experience in analog/RF circuit design and implementation, with actual wireless product(s) in the market.
• Create system specification, architecture, analysis, and simulation of products and networks.
• Experience with RF PCB design and ability to instruct and co-work with the layout engineer to properly layout the circuit to meet expected performance and designed specification.
• Perform test & debug the circuit, and ability to measure various RF parameters with standard equipments is required.
• Test and debug mixed RF/digital system prototypes, and drive issues to closure.
• Monitor product stability, utilize existing test cases and bug tracking tools to notify other team members and interact to resolve issues.
• Experience across high-volume, full-product life cycle including concept + design + integration + test + release customer support.
• Ability to work independently and tackle challenging tasks with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Proven ability to deliver products with highest quality, on time.
• BS with 10+ years of Analog/RF design experience or MSEE with 5+ year’s experience.
• Hands-on experience with test tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators, & spectrum analyzers.
• Duties may require the ability to travel domestically or overseas.
• Duties may require working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends)

Desirables:
• Hand-on experience with RF PCB design.
• Hand-on design with WiMAX product
• Experience with WiMAX base stations.
• Prior work experience in start-up environment
