Our ideal Staffing Coordinator will be enthusiastic about working with seniors and their caregivers and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. The Staffing Coordinator works independently but also works directly with the other Staffing Coordinator and reports to the Staffing Supervisor to assure stability, continuity, and satisfaction on each case.
Position Summary:
The Staffing Coordinator is responsible for arranging and monitoring placement of homecare aides into the homes of our elderly clients along with maintaining the staffing schedule. It is important to be an organized, self-starter who has the ability to juggle many tasks while also being able to differentiate between tasks that need immediate attention and future tasks.
Qualifications:
Experience, at least 1-2 years in staffing is a must, preferably in the healthcare field. An AA is required, BA is preferred.
Responsibilities:
• Promptly handle telephone inquiries for caregiver positions and schedules as well as
direct calls to the appropriate people. Answer Phones in an upbeat & pleasant manner.
• Schedule caregivers for Client assignments according to employee availability and Client needs.
• Promptly follow-up when there is a change in caregiver schedules.
• Handle Client staffing issues
• Possess some knowledge of HR to assist in caregiver orientations / hiring process following up on Tracking/ Fingerprinting/ TB and CNA license.
• Communicate and confirm schedules, including any changes, with staff and caregivers.
• Possess excellent interpersonal skills – communicating with professionals and clients.
• Must have excellent problem-solving skills and be able to prioritize.
• Make appropriate decisions in difficult situations.
• Extreme attention to detail with great time management skills.
• Be a Team Player and communicate client issues.
• Possess excellent managerial skills / helping in cohesiveness of Staffing department.
• Ability to hold caregivers accountable, follow-up on promises made, and reach out for status checks.
• Be in frequent communication with caregivers, heavy phone & email usage.
• Have strong computer skills and be knowledgeable with Excel & Word.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving, dressing, and communicating in a manner that supports all staff, clients, family members, and referral sources.
• Other duties as assigned.
This is an hourly position – Monday through Friday 8:30am – 5pm
