Global Fitness Media is currently hiring a Interactive Web Designer who will create, define and design a web-leading user interface for a ground-breaking online fitness service (www.fitorbit.com). Our company is based in Los Angeles, CA but for the right candidate, we are open to relocating or telecommuting from the SF Bay Area. For the right candidate, this is the opportunity have full responsibility for all aspects of the user interface and design of FitOrbit.com.
Responsibilities:
o Translating functional product requirements for a market-leading online fitness service into a useful, usable, intuitive user experience and through visual and functional design.
o Full creative control over design and user interface, working directly with our Head of Product and CTO to implement designs and realize a vision.
o Designing a user interface that is highly intuitive and usable while at the same time visually appealing and engaging.
Qualifications:
o Proven track record of creating web-leading user interfaces and designs for consumer-oriented web 2.0 companies. (Must be able to show portfolio of relevant online work)
o Specific hands-on experience in defining and designing user interfaces for interactive online services – sites people USE, not just look at.
o Undergraduate or graduate degree in graphic design is a must with a minimum of 2-3 years professional experience.
o Strong experience designing functional UX/UI, with focus on information architecture and usability for online tools/services/software and Working knowledge of what's possible with AJAX/.
o Strong typography skills are a must.
