Incase is a lifestyle brand on a global basis and the leader in carrying solutions and innovations. We are currently looking for a 3D Modeler/Engineer to work in our design & development studio in the heart of downtown San Francisco.
You will be under the direction of the creative silo of the hard-goods/innovation team, closely working with Industrial Designers to generate 3D databases and concept prototypes. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of drafting/mechanical drawing principles and proficiency in CAD, either SolidWorks or Pro/Engineer.
Primary responsibilities include:
• 3D databases for manufacturing and supporting 2D documentation
• 3D models for mock-ups, proof-of-concepts, and appearance models
• Mechanism design and prototyping
• Research of materials and manufacturing processes with potential application to case products
Qualifications:
• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• 2-3 years experience with plastics part design
• Strong communication skills and MS Office proficiency
• Good hand-sketching skills
• Strong preference for candidates with product design experience at a design consultancy
International travel may be required.
