General Job Summary
The Director of Business Development plays a key role in developing relationships with some of the world’s top brands. The ideal candidate can educate prospective clients on agency services and the agency on the client opportunities. This candidate meets with clients and works with them to define and focus their advertising/marketing needs. Recognizing opportunities within the client organization that present additional agency work is essential to this position.
Responsibilities:
• Develop new business through introduction letters, presentations, previous clients, network contacts, cold calls, etc.
• Develop ongoing improvements to the process of prospecting, qualifying, and closing key accounts.
• Collaborate with our internal teams and all departments in the development of strategically sound new customer acquisition plans.
• Educating agency with client’s needs and opportunities.
Requirements:
• Demonstrated experience developing new business for an Interactive/Digital Agency minimum 5 years of exp
• Must be capable and comfortable selling to all levels marketing professionals with in Fortune 1000 companies
• Should have a proven track record of selling 6 figure + digital marketing projects
• Familiarity with the sales cycle process; must understand sales phases from inbound inquiries to outbound presentations and managing an opportunity until a contract is signed
• Must have the flexibility to be available outside core working hours on occasion to meet important deadlines for national and international accounts
• Strong multitasking skills and attention to detail
• Strategic understanding of all disciplines of marketing as well as the client’s business and industry dynamics
• Demonstrated digital/online experience required
• Strong understanding of web technologies required, hands on experience a plus
• Familiarity with standard Office products: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
• Bachelors degree required
