Nielsen has been a consistent leader and innovator in media measurement across the mobile, on-line, and television platforms. In television, we are the currency provider in more than 27 markets. In on-line measurement, our footprint includes markets covering 95% of on-line advertising spend. Nielsen's Mobile Media and Marketing business, a part of Nielsen's Telecom Practice, is the architect of growth of mobile as a marketing medium. We provide insights on the consumption various forms of mobile media and advertising to clients including TV networks, internet publishers, advertisers and ad agencies, game publishers, technology enablers, carriers, and device manufacturers.
We are looking for a Director Products, Mobile Advertising. Once an ad buy is made on mobile, advertisers want to know what they got for it, i.e. their ROI. Insight into ROI for mobile advertising is still limited in the industry and is holding advertisers back. In order to get advertisers to shift their mobile ad buys from experimental to essential, such post-buy/ROI measurement is critical. This job is focused on bringing new solutions to the market that address that very need.
As a key member of the global Mobile Media & Marketing team, The Director will take ownership of the end-to-end solution development - working with clients to define requirements, priorities, timing and roadmaps; working internally and across departmental boundaries to leverage existing Nielsen assets to develop the products; and empowering the sales teams to sell these solutions to clients, and overall helping drive industry growth. The role is global, i.e. setting a global solutions strategy and executing local implementation in key geographies.
The role resides in Nielsen's Telecom Practice, and reports into the global SVP of Product Leadership, and works very closely with the global SVP of Mobile Media & Marketing.
Responsibilities:
-Work with clients to define industry-leading and industry-defining post-buy advertising and ROI solutions for mobile, globally.
-Establish clear priorities and roadmaps working across departmental boundaries .
-Develop and launch solutions, profitably
-Internal evangelism to bring Nielsen leaders along on the vision
-Manage the delivery of syndicated data services and custom analyses, and be responsible for the quality of all deliverables
-Empower the sales force to penetrate the market with the advertising solutions, especially advertisers The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of media and advertising industry experience, including digital media (e.g., internet and/or mobile). Product leadership and management experience, especially with launching new solutions in partnership with clients, is also key. Finally, these solutions are aimed at advertisers and publishers, so experience with that client base is also needed.
The ideal candidate can be based in San Francisco, Chicago, NYC or Cincinnati, OH
