Context Analytics, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Text 100, is a strategic communications research company that provides analytical, consulting and measurement programs across mainstream media and social media is looking for a Research Coordinator. We work with some of the biggest names in technology and health-care, and our projects are often global in scope. We are looking for a strong, analytically-minded contributor to our team.
The candidate would be responsible for supporting all research projects and clients as assigned with a focus on collecting data on media coverage trends, data quality control and management, and charting/data visualization.
Job Performance
Support and assist managers/analysts/coordinators on assigned research projects including, but not limited to, data gathering, data processing, report creation, analysis writing and report production.
Responsible for coverage collection, coverage cleaning, coverage coding (reading coverage and filling out appropriate code sheet), code sheet tabulation and aggregation, code sheet cleaning, and report development for large-scale content analysis projects
Deliver easy to interpret representation of data that follows the Context Analytics style guide and formatting
Review and produce high-quality documents with correct basic grammar and spelling, and appropriate format (including accuracy and consistency)
Oversee and maintain a high standard of service for all media research clients, both internal and external
Coordinate activities with appropriate client/account team member(s) for client-specific studies, including scheduling and attending meetings and securing required input and feedback for research studies
Interface/Interact with client contacts where and when necessary
Organize and maintain digital and print copies of research documents and activities
Work with Marketing & Sales to deliver new business reports that assist/compliment new business pitches/efforts
Develop and promote MR methodological standards and best practices
Be knowledgeable and up-to-speed with the research industry players, methods and other resources, and familiar with existing clients their technologies, their markets, their competitors, and issues facing them
Revenue Performance
Always complete time entries by the end of each week, in time with WIP report schedules
Assist in Contexts MR development efforts, including competitive research, market evaluation and new business pitches
Educate and promote media research within Text 100Required Backgrounds & Qualifications
Four-year college degree with academic emphasis in social sciences, business, marketing, applied mathematics, statistics or communications desirable
Competence with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); basic knowledge of SPSS desirable
Well developed organizational and writing skills
Professional interest in technology or healthcare
Basic statistical skills, including sample size, confidence intervals, margin of error, and linear correlation/regression desirable
