Context Analytics, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Text 100, is a strategic communications research company that provides analytical, consulting and measurement programs across mainstream media and social media is looking for a Senior Research Analyst. We work with some of the biggest names in technology and health-care, and our projects are often global in scope. We are looking for a strong, analytically-minded contributor to our team, ideally with technology and social media experience.

The candidate would be responsible for conducting independent, managed and team research projects, preparing client deliverables, interfacing with client contacts, and developing Context Analytics research products. Assist Vice President, and/or Research Managers on various stages of the research process and in managing research staff.

Job Performance
• Create and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients as the primary day-to-day interface on assigned accounts, acting as a trusted advisor
• Design, recommend and implement communications research projects, including both one-time studies and periodic deliverables
• Manage client expectations, be the primary point of contact and take responsibility for final timely delivery within budget on small – medium projects for secondary and primary research reports
• Support RM/ RD/ MD in taking larger client briefs and support in research design for those
• Demonstrate proficiency in complex coverage coding, coach team members in it and ensure coding quality control across the team
• Demonstrate proficiency in advanced charting
• Demonstrate proficiency in report analysis writing
• Demonstrate proficiency in collecting quantitative and qualitative data from a wide-range of print and online media sources
• Oversee project data management, particularly storing and labeling quantitative data that has been collected for research deliverables
• Interface with virtual teams to ensure smooth delivery of projects
• Coordinate with and/or manage other research project participants, including both Research Coordinators and Analysts
• Review and produce high-quality documents with correct basic grammar, spelling, and appropriate format, and ensure the same from Research Analysts and Research Coordinators on the same project team
• Uphold and develop media research methodological standards and best practices by delivering easy to interpret representation of data
• Be knowledgeable and up-to-speed with the communications research industry – players, methods and other resources, and familiar with existing clients – their technologies, their markets, their competitors,
and issues facing them

Revenue Performance
• Oversee ongoing projections and tracking of budgets, billings and hours for self, assigned accounts, associates and affiliates/vendors
• Take responsibility for reactive pitch responses and draw up first draft of responses to RFPs
• Assist in budget development of project proposals. Ensure projections are on track for select projects and monitor budgets, billings and hours for self, assigned accounts, associates and affiliates/vendors
• Always complete time entries daily

Required Backgrounds & Qualifications
• Four-year college degree with academic emphasis in social sciences, business, marketing, applied mathematics, statistics, or communications desirable
• Two to four years work experience relating to market research, communications research (technology or healthcare PR experience a bonus)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; fluent English speaker, writer and reader
• Experience working with remote offices in North America a bonus
• Well developed understanding of the news media
• Professional interest in either healthcare or technology
• Well developed organizational and writing skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Management track record of small teams and individuals
• Expertise with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with SPSS desirable
• Knoweldge of social media monitoring software and tools desirable
• Knowledge of SEO desirable
• Knowledge of web analytics tools, such as CoreMetrics, Omniture, WebTrends, Google Analytics, desirable
• Basic statistical skills, including sample size, confidence intervals, margin or error, and linear correlation/regression desirable.
