As a valued Docketing Assistant team member, the selected candidate will be responsible for the management of the firm’s USPTO Deposit Account.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
o Manage/update charges and credits from USPTO Deposit Account Bank Statements
o Research and reconcile charges and credits
o Enter billing information
o Conduct audits to ensure accuracy of data entered
o Ensure quality assurance protocols for data integrity and 2nd eye review
o Responding to attorney and staff inquiries
o Other duties/projects assigned
Candidate Requirements:
o 3+ years of USPTO Deposit Account Docketing experience, law firm experience preferred
o Strong working knowledge of USPTO rules and regulations
o Experience with managing deposit accounts balances and the payment of maintenance/annuity fees
o Must be proficient in Windows-based software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
o Strong working knowledge of docket database systems: IP Manager and Dennemeyer
o Strong working knowledge of billing software: Elite
o Sense of urgency, strong organizational skills and effective time management
o Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
o Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, as you will communicate with attorneys, all levels of administrative staff and contacts outside the Firm
o Excellent attention to detail, problem solving, editing and proofreading abilities are also key
o Bachelor's degree preferred
