Glocap Search is interested in adding a full time Associate in our San Francisco office, to join our global alternative asset recruiting platform. This role will focus primarily on executing searches at the Pre-MBA level on behalf of our Venture Capital ("VC") and Growth Equity clients, most of whom are based in the US, but some of whom are located overseas.

Our VC practice in particular, has partnered with several top decile funds who funded many of the most well known technology companies, whose products and services candidates likely use every day. ROLE / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Interview primarily Pre-MBA candidates, including Analysts and Associates from investment banks and strategy consulting firms
- Develop and maintain relationships in the financial services community, to appropriately prequalify Analyst and Associate candidates and to support business development
- Research potential candidates for active mandates at both the Pre- and Post-MBA levels, including mapping candidate pools, profiling candidates' backgrounds, and reaching out to candidates directly to assess fit with our clients' needs
- Support (and eventually independently run) all phases of search execution, from creating a job spec to negotiating offer terms that result in a successful placement
- Assist in business development efforts (e.g., conducting research, producing marcom) and where appropriate given a candidate's own relationships and network, independently lead targeted business development initiatives
- Grow and maintain a relevant knowledge base on industry trends and news, so as to be a resource of first resort to both our candidates and clients
REQUIREMENTS:
- High intellectual horsepower, as demonstrated through test scores, GPA, and university reputation. Preference will be given to those with degrees in relevant fields such as finance, business administration, or a hard science. While a bachelor's degree is mandatory, a master's degree is not required.
- 1-5 years of full time, post-college work experience, preferably with at least one year at an investment bank, strategy consulting firm, or a high growth tech company (traditional tech, clean tech or healthcare)
- Mature individual who connects easily with people, has an outgoing personality, and natural relationship management instincts
- Strong team player who can be resourceful, entrepreneurial and creative
- Defined interest in or curiosity about a career focused on the human capital side of the alternative investment universe
COMPENSATION: DOE, and can be extremely competitive for top performers who actively contribute to the growth of our client base
