Human Resources Generalist
Job Description:
- Keep Director informed of significant problems that jeopardize the achievement of objectives, and those which are not being addressed adequately at the management level.
- Assist director with analysis of retention rates, turnover, cost per hire and make appropriate recommendations.
- Assist with Recruitment efforts as needed.
- Assist the Director and Employee Relations Specialist with managing Employee Relations Matters.
- Assist in advising and interpreting HR policies and procedures for management and employees.
- Assist Director in establishing and monitoring in house training programs that address Academy needs across departments.
- Manage online training software program while tracking company trainings to ensure compliance.
- Under guidance of Director, respond to all EDD insurance claims.
- Manage yearly State and Federal Employment posting requirements.
- Other duties assigned by Director of Human Resources.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of human resources management/generalist experience preferably in California
- At least 3 years of full cycle recruitment experience recruiting for all organization levels in an extremely fluid and fast-paced environment
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related field required
- PHR or SPHR certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of employee relations, human resources management, and human resources principles
- Excellent knowledge of labor laws and regulations at both the state and federal level, including specific California experience
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication, coaching and mediation skills
- Flexible and able to successfully accept change and assist others in adapting to change
- 10% travel required
- Ability to effectively communicate with employees and executives at all levels of the organization
