PRIMARY PURPOSE:  The Prospect Research Officer at California Pacific Medical Center Foundation, under the direction of the Manager of Prospect Research, will produce research; provide database input and management as it relates to donor/prospect research; create and assist in analysis of donor/prospect data, and utilize database skills to craft reports to support research in donor/prospect advancement.  This position also maintains the Central Donor Files, updates major donor and prospect records on the Foundation's database; and generates reports related to solicitations as requested by the Vice President of Development, Research Manger, and/or the Development staff.



Education:  Bachelor's degree or equivalent, plus a minimum of two years experience in the non-profit, philanthropic arena, Health care or educational institution experience preferred. Familiarity with Bay Area preferred.

 

Knowledge: 

Skills:  Experience with Raiser's Edge or other database management system, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator preferred.  Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously required.

 

Experience:  Three plus years experience in a non-profit environment preferred. In addition, candidates should have no less than one year of experience as a Prospect Researcher.
