Our client is a small, 8(a) status, well-known, fast-growing professional services firm serving commercial and government clients. Their IT services division creates innovative web-based solutions for their clients. They create websites, web-based applications, intranets and extranets, e-Learning modules and digital products. They focus on creating positive user experiences and we help organizations leverage technology to meet business goals.
They have an immediate need for a Web Developer in Rockville, MD. This position will work within a development team of developers, designers and subject matter specialists. S/he will be to produce highly creative and interactive web solutions for a variety of clients.
The ideal candidate will work the entire lifecycle of the development project including discovery of functional requirements, wire-framing, interaction design, visual experience, and development using interactive technologies such as Adobe Flash, Silverlight, AJAX, CSS, and JavaScript.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
* Work closely with a team of designers, developers, and content managers building web sites and multimedia projects.
* Showcase a high proficiency of design and skill in developing content, templates and animation using interactive technologies such as Flash, Silverlight, CSS/JavaScript
* Manage projects from concept to design to delivery.
* Work with staff to build mockups and prototypes.
* Collaborate with internal teams, partners, and clients on creative ideas for new features, content and enhancements that advance their business objectives.
* Stay abreast of relevant, current technology trends and share this knowledge with fellow team members.
* Communicate with Project Managers on the development status of tasks according to established standards.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
* Bachelor’s degree preferred with minimum of 3 years of related experience in internet design and development.
* Working knowledge of the Adobe suite (Photoshop and Illustrator) as well as desktop publishing/imaging applications for creation, production and manipulation of graphics on the web.
* Knowledge of Flash animation techniques using the timeline and programmatic motion as well as an understanding of ActionScript programming. Additional Flash knowledge is a plus including integrating Flash video into Flash applications; creating dynamic Flash applications that use server side technologies; external Resource Integration (audio, video and other media); and deep knowledge of Flash Compression techniques and file structuring practices.
* Expertise in current Internet standards, including web browsers and compliance issues (Section 508 and SCORM a plus).
* Strong understanding of current web markup or scripting languages: HTML, XHTML, XML, CSS, and JavaScript.
* Understanding of dynamic or active web content and the use of classic ASP, ASP.NET, and SQL.
* Experience and understanding of site architecture and user experience.
* Strong attention to detail with excellent time management and organizational skills.
* Strong oral and written communication skills.
* Deliver high-quality work products in a timely manner and meet established deadlines.

REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree preferred with minimum of 3 years of related experience in internet design and development.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
* Experience with projects within the Federal Government.
* Experience with e-Learning technologies.
* Experience with video production and editing.
* Experience with mobile development.
REQUIRED CLEARANCE: Candidates must currently hold a Top Secret security clearance.
