Busy San Francisco full-service hotel seeks an experienced Director of Convention Services!
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee Catering Managers to ensure that they meet or exceed all established operating goals
- Directs the coordination and servicing of all group and local functions in the hotel once a booking has been made and confirmed
- Monitors and directs the activities of the hotel's Conference and Catering managers to ensure that schedules are maintained and services rendered in accordance with written and signed contracts and standards, ensuring guest satisfaction and repeat business
- Develops and ensures achievement of annual local catering sales plan goals
- Coordinates the development and accomplishment of Conference Management and Catering productivity, guest satisfaction, and financial goals
Job Requirements:
- At least 10 years experience in Conference Planning and Convention Services, experience as a Director of Convention Services required
- Four year degree preferred
- Extensive knowledge of all hotel departments
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
- Computer Skills to include Microsoft Applications
- Outstanding leadership, selling and organizational skills
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
