The UPS Store at 5758 Geary Blvd (@ 22nd Ave) in S.F. is seeking a hard-working, reliable and friendly sales associate to work 25-30 hrs/wk (must be able to work Saturdays). The UPS Store provides shipping & packaging services, copying service, fax service, mailbox rentals, document services, notary service, passport photos, office supplies and more. This is a customer service job which also involves package handling. We are looking for a motivated person who is seeking a long-term job and has the ambition to grow within the position. Job Description:
Pack items for shipment using established packing guidelines. Process shipping for customers using UPS computer software system. Provide other supporting shipping services (eg. U.S. mail), copying on digital copiers, faxing, sorting mail, taking passport photos, laminating, binding, stocking and store cleanup. Must be willing to go through training to obtain a notary public license to do notarizations.
Requirements:
• Must have customer service experience/up-selling and cross-selling skills
• Must be able to communicate effectively with customers
• Shipping & packing experience a plus, but not required (will train)
• Must be VERY detail-oriented, computer literate, & type at least 45 wpm
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must be able to multi-task in a busy environment
• Must be able to work on Saturdays
• Must be able to pass Dept. of Justice background check to qualify for a notary license
