POSITION SUMMARY:
Sephora.com is passionate about delivering a great e-commerce experience. In this role, you can help drive the web site strategy and vision of the Sephora.com web site by guiding the design, build-out, and deployment of features and tools for the #1 prestige beauty site on the Internet.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead the development of website feature and function strategies. Support initial product & project strategy definition, identify implementation options, and influence business partners on recommendations and prioritizations.
• Conduct market research, perform competitive analysis and develop business cases for site features, team processes, and new offerings.
• Develop an RFP and/or POC to drive a vendor selection process.
• Collaborate with business partners to define business requirements:
o The primary focus for this role is expected to include work with partners in the Call Center & Distribution Center arenas. This work will include defining business requirements to support operational efficiencies and enhanced customer service
o A secondary focus will be for requirements that impact the external customer experience, involving work with the Marketing, Merchandising and Creative teams.
• Shepherd those requirements through the design and development process, from concept to release. Partnering with both internal Sephora IT resources and external 3rd party development sources to ensure successful product delivery.
• Support overall team approach in “after launch” Product Analysis and site development planning. Develop metrics to measure success of features, ensure implemented, analyze results, and partner with leaders in Product team to develop recommendations on how to continually enhance feature to drive further business needs.
• Contribute to the formation of Sephora Direct’s overall product roadmap prioritization.
REQUIREMENTS:
• 3-5 years experience in product development with a successful history of launching effective e-commerce sites and tools, technical solutions, or operational systems to large, global audiences.
• Excellent communicator and negotiator; agile and flexible with regards to changing priorities & business needs, and in working with diverse teams & people.
• Proven multi-tasking skills, ability to meet critical deadlines while establishing a diplomatic standard for ongoing release management.
• Strong strategic thinking ability and exceptional communications skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects — work prioritization, planning, task delegation, and work with peers in a cross-functional setting.
• Highly motivated, self-sufficient, and be able to operate effectively without close supervision.
