NCIRE - The Veterans Health Research Institute. Our mission is to advance veterans health through research. We are the largest nonprofit research institute associated with the Department of Veterans Affairs. We conduct research in many fields, including mental health, neurological disease, cardiovascular disease, cancer, bone disease, infectious diseases including HIV, and improving patient care.
NCIRE has an exciting opportunity for a Business Process Analyst to lead the Research and Development office in the creation and implementation of business processes for research compliance with safety, human subject, scientific and protocol reviews. The successful candidate will document flow processes to lead project teams to document and collect the necessary information that will lead to complete and audit ready research files. This position is also responsible for reporting, analysis, and risk management audits and for developing plans and programs to support continuous quality improvement using automated applicable tools.
This is a 6 to 8 month temporary assignment.
The ideal candidate will have:
Bachelors degree preferred
Minimum of 5 years proven experience as a Business Process Analyst
2 years of project experience Advance Computer literacy with an emphasis on Visio, Windows XP platforms and related software (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
A self-starter with the ability to work independently and to adjust to multiple demands, address shifting priorities, and to champion change
Ability to communicate effectively with management, researchers, and technical staff.
good grasp of system/application concepts with proficiency in MS Office suite
Strong problem solving, conceptual and analytical skills
Strong business acumen and ability to grasp business concepts
Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to understand customer needs and manage expectations
Ability to negotiate, influence, recommend and mediate in a highly matrixed environment
Ability to lift 25 lbs.
