This painting is done in very thick oil paint and mostly palate knife . The photo is taken with a digital camera and you really can't the see the painting very well. The colors are more vibrant I will try and get a better picture of it. The Iron work has gold leaf type paint and looks great when the light hits it it really gives the iron work a realistic look. I have about a million hours into this painting. I had three others at the Marin county fair last year. This painting measures 40"x 30" The scene is an old apartment building in Cuba with a 48 Cadillac convertible under it. All paintings are done by original photo's by me. 415 456 5668. The list price for this Mabef easel is $385.95. Ours was purchased about 12 years ago for our young daughter who we thought would be interested in painting and destined to become a famous artist. Unfortunately she preferred the stage and is now in college studying theater, not painting. Consequently, the easel has not been used and therefore is in immaculate condition. It is a beautifully crafted traditional French style easel that includes a tin-lined sketchbox with a compartmented, slide-out accessory drawer and a lid that slides off to become a wooden palette that also acts as a cover when the easel is folded cleverly for transport. The easel is lightweight (13lbs) and, when folded, very compact (only 17 1/2" wide, 6" deep, and 22" high) which is why it's been inconspicuously hiding in our closet. Your easel was "Made in Italy" of oiled beechwood with brass hardware and a leather handle. It is remarkably stable and it's three legs are easily adjusted to balance the load on uneven surfaces. The maximum easel height is 72" and it can handle a canvas up to 34" tall. It works well both for watercolors and oils and is ideal for painting outdoors, assuming you or someone you love has an interest in doing so, again unlike our daughter who obviously takes after her parents. At $135 this easel is a great deal. I think you'll agree if you shop around. Artistically Painted 4-Panel Screen (lower pac hts) $275

Each of the four panels is 18" wide X 71 1/2" tall X 1 1/2" thick. The panels are fastened together with unobtrusive hinges to make three articulating joints. The sections are structurally robust as they are made of hollow core doors. The total weight of the complete four-section unit is about 75 pounds.

This screen would work well as divider between two differing functional spaces or as an esthetically pleasing barrier to vision. It could be used in a home, an office or a a restaurant.

The artist's painting appears to be applied onto strips of rice paper which have been fixed in a collage style to the surface of the structural wood. Both sides of the screen are decorated as can be seen in the photos attached. Age is unknown but it's at least 2 decades old. No artist's signature has been observed.

Can be seen in the office of an attorney at 1255 Post.

"Sin and Debauchery" Johnny Hart Cartoon, Framed (lower pac hts) $250

If you like Johnny Hart's irreverent view of life and the world you might like this item. It's known as his "Sin and Debauchery" cartoon.

This lithograph is printed on heavy, high quality paper. Dimensions are 21 1/4" X 29". It's number 72 of 100 made. It's signed by the cartoonist. An embossed seal shows a copyright symbol and year 1978.

I had it framed in an expensive "floated" and "hinged" construction style. It's been behind glass all this time. The frame dimensions are 33 1/4" X 25 3/4".

It's incurred zero damage so it's in close to perfect shape. I've never hung it in a place exposed to direct sunlight or even in harsh indirect sunlight.

I now have less wall space and more art so I have to part with it, albeit with regret.

By the way, the words say, "Sin and debauchery will be the downfall of mankind" and "I'll go with that" . Hart's style guides the eye on a tour of the articles and features in the picture, beginning with the apple and ending with the snake.

Edition Avenir Publicite, pub.; Reunies de Lyon Poster was for early audio and radio equipment and cleverly uses the phonographic disc as the head of this space age looking character. An increasingly hard to find art deco poster from the 1950's, that has been rapidly disappearing and becoming quite the rare collectible. The blank panel at the bottom of this piece was used to advertise the details of stores that sold the product. If you remember the television show "Frasier" you will recollect that he had this poster in his radio studio. Size: 45x61 in. I had three other oil paintings at the Marin County fair last year, but didn't get this one done in time. I am a life long Marin county artist. All paintings are from original photograghs takene by me. This painting is done in very thick oil paint and mostly palate knife . The photos is taken with a digital camera and you really can't the see the painting very well. I will try and get a better photo of it. The Iron work has gold leaf paint and looks great when the light hits it. I have about a million hours into this painting. 40"x30" The scene is an old apartment building in Cuba. the others are of the May madness car show down town in San Rafael 415 456 5668.

I'm moving and am selling a half-scale dress form. I was a fashion design student and used it for projects, but am no longer in need of it. The half-scale model of the standard full sized form is ideal for designing, demonstrating, and draping. When the design is complete, the pattern can be doubled to full size. It is covered in fabric and has a metal base (not adjustable). Fabrics or garments can be easily pinned to the form as well.

Martin Facey lives and works in the North San Diego. Facey received two graduate degrees in painting from UCLA. He has taught art at Santa Monica College, UCLA, and University of New Mexico. He is often associated with Richard Diebenkorn for whom he worked as a studio assistant for many years. This painting was part of a series called "California Table." It dates from the early 1980's.
