Just moved here from Chicago - am a Bears season ticket holder (sold my tickets for this season - obviously) and will be the first season in a few years I've not attended a game let alone be able to watch more than 1 or 2. I know they are going to suck (I'm a realist) but I'm a fan and a glutton for my team. I'm wondering if there is any where in this city (bar, NFL ticket)I might be able to watch the games. I'm not ready to be a 49ers fan, sorry.

Hi, I'm curious if there is a woman (or women) out there that is interested in getting together once or twice a week after work (say 5:30ish) to initially start out walking, and eventually progress to jogging.

About me - I work in SOMA, I'm 29 and a half, a woman, unmotivated (used to be very active), but hoping to get motivated once again.

That's where this post comes in...I'm hoping that I might find a partner who's sort of in the same place as I am (out of shape but wanting to get back into the groove). Ideally we'd settle on a day or two, commit, and slowly improve.

So that's the goal. For some reason i just can't find the motivation to make this happen on my own. But let's make this happen!

Are you into any or all of these activities and looking for others to do the same? More importantly, do you like to converse intellectually on what you're passionate about?

I'm a 31-yr-old Mission-district-dwelling cook/caterer, business consultant, music critic/appreciator, outdoor adventure seeker, amateur guitarist and wannabe athlete seeking like-minded people to hang out with in and around San Francisco. I'm not seeking romantic relationships, as I have a long-term girlfriend.

Although I understand many people have familial, work, or other responsibilities that can make socializing difficult, I'm fortunate at the moment to have my own businesses and free time to make meeting people and developing friendships a high priority. If this is a high priority for you as well, let's meet and chat. I also love great cocktails and dive bars alike, and am an avid skier and pool/billiards player.

Ideally you live in San Francisco as well, so commuting/logistical issues are minimized, allowing us to potentially hang out often if we'd like if we both gel. I often like to plan restaurant/bar, music, and outdoor activity outings, but I also love someone else to take the initiative and do some planning as well. Most importantly, no flaking - if you find it difficult to be on time and/or make decisions and hold commitments, no need to reply :). I see friendships as relationships that deserve time and attention, not conveniences for filling unused time.

In my experience meeting other folks, we'll probably be a better fit if you are seriously into one of the activities/subjects I mentioned. If you're interested in any/all of them but haven't yet pursued, you may find more suitable folks to get started with on one of the many existing Yahoo-based local groups (SF Outside, 20s 30s Socials, Skipals, etc.). Also, if you prefer to socialize in large groups, you may want to look elsewhere. I prefer the genuine interactions that seem to arise from smaller groups of 2-3 people.

Lastly, it'd help if you're at least in your mid-20s, or at least a very mature early-20s. If you have a non-stop party mindset, or are just getting acquainted with San Francisco for the first time, while I'd be happy to give you some recommendations, I'm seeking people closer to my current level of maturity and state of mind.

Telegraph Field, the new downtown field on Pier 27 off the Embarcadero, hosts the after-work, recreational soccer league. Games are on Fridays from 6pm-9pm. The season is 8 weeks plus play-offs.

Our squad is starting up a new season of Thursday soccer in a 7 on 7 co-ed league, really fun, recreational level so it's not too aggro but still competitive, and it's with futsal goals. (These are not full-size goals, but big enough where they need a keeper.) The guy who was going to be our keeper unexpectedly had to travel and has left us in the lurch.

We'd love to have a somewhat experienced goalie for our game tonight, which is at 7:30pm at South Sunset field. (40th and Wawona, not far from Sloat, a great new turf field). The concept is simple: make your own delicious beer. The course will run for three consecutive Sundays and will cover all the ins and outs of home brewing beer.

Games are at Holy Trinity (999 Brotherhood Way) with Sports4Good. We will be playing 2 hours of volleyball each week and have to provide a ref for the round before or after our games. Season starts on Sep 11 and fees are about $59/person. Will only have 4 guys and 4 girls on the roster. It's a 6v6 coed league, with minimum of 3 women on the court. Season lasts for 7 weeks plus a chance at playoffs for the top 4 teams.

Our fastpitch team split last month to keep the league going...and I ended up with the guys that can't make it to early games or work out of town often. We have had a skeleton krew and a forfeit in first 3 games. I don't care if you have broken limbs,just show up and you make the team. The team goes down with a forfeit tomorrow. SF Softball allows you to play fastpitch in addition to any other city slowpitch team. We have a good pitcher that travels from Sacramento...just nobody to stand behind him.

Do you like meeting interesting new people and watching and discussing great films? We do. We are a San Francisco based film club that gets together about once a month to socialize, drink some wine and watch a great film. Right now we have about 12 members and are looking to add 2-3 more (we did not know each other before starting this club - - so it is not *clickish* in any way). The club operates much like a book club, only for film (and no reading homework!). We usually meet on Thursday night in a member's home, have a 30-45 minute "cocktail hour," watch a film (usually indie or foreign, but not always) and then have 20-30 minute discussion session. The events are fun and social, and you don't need to have any knowledge or expertise of film to join. Most of the members are 25-35, outgoing, professional (at least at while at work!). let's go cruising. I am looking for a cruise travel mate. This can be the travel of lifetime. about me: 40yo male, I am easy going and yet I like adventure. you be male or female 30-55yo, easy going too and a good company, social person and be yourself.

There are many cruising options and destinations, after traveling a while I came to recognize this about taking a cruise, the experience is not about the stops, but about spending time at sea and enjoying the cruise experience itself, from quite time, to shows, to the stops, and the activities.

This cruise ship leaves local here from San Francisco, trips from SF are all 10 days or longer. I prefer to spend couple days more days at sea, instead of spending time and costs traveling to the cruise ship. this one is 11 days, 10 nights trip, and costs $898-$1088 per person, so less than $100 per day, (not including tax or tips)

Travel agents don't arrange anymore for a single traveler to share a room, and hence this post to find a companion. so room selection, options are open for suggestions.
