Position: Senior Fund Accountant

We provide accounting services for Private Equity and Hedge Fund Industry around the world .Our services cover accounting, financial reporting, administration, consulting, and tax services. We maintain relationships with approximately 100 key sponsors, administers private equity funds with more than $30 billion in committed capital. We support a broad range of private equity funds, including buyout, venture, real estate, mezzanine debt, fund of funds, secondary, co-investment, employee plans and carried interest plans.
Primary Responsibilities and Requirements
The Senior Associate position will be responsible for providing and managing the daily accounting and reporting function for our private equity clients. The Senior Associate should have a strong background in accounting; solid written and verbal communications skills, outstanding organizational skills and a proven ability to multi-task.
Specific Responsibilities
Deliverables Management:
· Maintain and control the general ledger and various sub-ledgers
· Preparation and review of financial statements, footnotes and partner capital statements
· Prepare and review limited partner and general partner allocations
· Prepare and review capital call and distributions to limited partners
· Prepare and review trial balances and work paper product
· Interact with Directors
· Interact with client
Staff Management:
· Coordinate with Director on deliverable planning
· Supervise work of junior staff to meet client timing and quality requirements
· Review all work product prepared by junior staff
· Provide on-the-job coaching and training to junior staff
· Coordinate with Operations Group and Tax Group
Client Engagement Management:
· Provide prompt and professional communications
· Prepare appropriate material for client meetings / requests
· Coordinate, support and facilitate external audits process
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
· 4-6 years experience in accounting (preferably public accounting and/or in the financial services sector)
· CPA a plus
· Experience in preparing and reviewing general ledgers, financial statements, footnotes and working papers
· Supervisory experience of other professionals
· Attention to detail and proven ability to multi-task
· Strong written and oral communication skills
· Strong interpersonal skill
· Advanced computer skills (especially Microsoft Excel)
· Team player
