Mevio is seeking a Controller who has experience managing a small team in a start-up environment. This person should have accounting and finance technical know-how, as well as a very hands-on approach to the role.

Requirements:
 Manage month-end close (revenue, cost of revenue, operating expenses, accruals, reconciliations, consolidation of foreign entities, and analytics)
 Manage all aspects of accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, bank reconciliations and payroll
 Budget & Planning experience required
 Work with VP of Finance to create annual budgets and forecasts
 Assist with creation of Board package
 Contract review, including proper revenue recognition per agreement (significant as each material agreement differs from one another)
 Manage Workers’ Compensation and EDD audits as necessary
 Domestic and international taxes
 Management of Company’s insurance plans
 Ability to multi-task
 Experience with fund raising, cap table computation, etc. desirable

Desired Background:
 CPA with 3+ years at Big 4/National firms only
 8+ years additional experience, preferably media, entertainment or software industries, and must have start-up experience
 3 years in a managerial roll
 Excellent verbal and written communication skills
 BS in Accounting or Finance
 Strong Microsoft Excel background and familiarity with QuickBooks G/L software
