THE POSITION
The Global Deals Desk Manager is responsible for providing support to Sales Management with regard to global deal registration, global accounts program and overall non-standard discount validation and reporting.

Success in this role will be measured by . . .
Driving system enhancements to support discount and gross margin reporting
Decreasing commission split disputes
Optimizing global deal registration equity

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
The Global Deals Desk Manager will report directly to the VP of Sales Operations but will have to successfully support the Senior VP of Worldwide Sales and the Director, Sales Finance.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
S/he will be responsible for the following:
•Manage the Global Deal Registration process
•Discount Management - Work with sales and sales finance on discount/gross margin management and reporting. Provides monthly reporting by Channel/Geography
•Manage pricing approval process for Sr VP of WW Sales
•Manage Blanket Discount approvals and provide quarterly reports to ensure compliance to approved discount thresholds
•Commission Split mitigation research and reporting to SVP of WW Sales
•Global Account Program manager

THE CANDIDATE

BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE
The objective is to recruit an experienced manager who will take ownership and responsibility for the business and operational side of global deals for worldwide sales. Candidate should have a successful track record in working with Senior Sales Management and Finance teams. The ideal candidate will have global experience in Sales support roles.

S/he will have the following essential expertise and experience:
•Significant, successful deals desk experience.
•Candidate should have 10 years of experience in Sales Operations and/or Sales Finance.
•Technology experience required, both software and hardware experience strongly preferred.
•Experience with software revenue accounting required.
•Experience working with companies that have indirect channels and enterprise focus preferred.

EDUCATION
Undergraduate degree required, preferably in Finance, Economics, or Accounting.

PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS
To fit, the candidate must be intellectually very broad and a cutting edge conceptual thinker. S/he must be a skilled communicator, both orally and in writing, and display self-confidence and high energy. The successful candidate will be resourceful, self-motivated and a highly responsive individual. The candidate will have proven skills managing people, be hands-on, and feel comfortable in a hard charging, ever changing environment. Strong team player is required.
