Accounts Payable Specialist
Job Description:
- Enforce Accounts Payable policies and procedures.
- Understand the full cycle of Purchasing, Receiving, and Accounts Payable cycle.
- Ensure accurate data entry into accounting software, verifying no double entries are made which result in double payments.
- Review general ledger numbers based on invoices and purchase orders in order to provide accurate allocation of expenses.
- Prepare month end reconciliation as assigned.
- Master check runs.
- Research, reconcile, and resolve discrepancies on vendor accounts.
- Perform other clerical duties associated with accounts payable.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- Previous accounts payable, purchasing, and receiving experience.
- Must have strong attention to detail, previous data entry experience required.
- Exceptional computer skills with MS Excel.
- Excellent organization and communication skills.
- Function as a team player at all levels and in all situations.
- Must be able to learn and explain the Academy of Art University policies.
- BA or BS preferred but not required, or equivalent experience.
