The Sales Assistant position with Advanced Equities, Inc. (AEI) will support our private equity sales staff. The candidate should have excellent organizational skills and time management capabilities. Specifically, the candidate must be detail-oriented and possess the ability to prioritize.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Client contact to resolve inquiries and process corresponding documentation for private placements, as well as, equity transactions.
Update internal database programs with new client information.
Review and process all paperwork returned from new and existing clients.
Performs basic administrative tasks, such as letters, filing, and e-mails that are specific to the department's function/services.
Function as an information resource and respond to regularly occurring requests for information.
Make travel arrangements and prepare itineraries.
Prepare expense reports and track reimbursements.
Provide back up to other investment representatives when other SA’s are out.
Verify a client account is opened correctly at the broker /dealer clearing firm.
Verify that all fund transfers, trades and all transactions are completed correctly.
Researches and resolves late payments, overdraft items, pending service inquiries, and communicates resolution to appropriate parties.
Communicate as needed with clients providing trade settlement figures, coordinating the delivery/payment of securities, and other routine requests.
Perform various account maintenance including address changes, beneficiary changes, transfers, withdrawals, etc.
Utilize strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with employees and clients.
Position is hourly and a standard workweek is 40 hours, with the ability to earn overtime as needed.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Series 7 desired, but willing to sponsor.
3 years comparable experience working in the Financial Services industry, preferably retail sales and/or marketing or client services background with a Broker/Dealer.
Broker/Dealer experience is a plus.
Experience working on the Pershing Platform is preferred.
B.A./B.S. degree preferred but not required.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Exceptional oral and written communication skills due to constant interaction with high net worth clients.
Excellent organizational skills with good follow up and attention to detail.
Ability to interact with individuals of all levels of the organization.
Commitment to customer service.
Knowledge of financial services products.
