Plan governance/advisory model execution and train governance/advisory board to be self-sustaining
Identify critical portal application integration issues and recommend solutions
Provide technical recommendations for performance issues including: application integration optimization, platform hardware analysis, architecture optimization techniques, and performance troubleshooting techniques

Qualifications
4+ years of relevant technology consulting or industry experience
Bachelors Degree
Experience managing vendor selection and contracts
Experience providing oversight support to the development team
Experience leading or validate the proposed business process model and identify strategy for business readiness
Experience identifying business opportunities to increase usability and profitability of portal interface and information architecture
2+ years experience managing complex technical projects and team sizes ranging from 1-10 resources.
Experience with one or more Portal capabilities such as Security, Search, Personalization, Internationalization, Categorization, Taxonomy, Messaging, Collaboration, and Publishing
Experience with one or more Portal and ECM platforms: SAP Portal/Netweaver, Plumtree, Vignette, SharePoint, BEA Portal, Websphere Portal, Documentum, FileNet, Hummingbird, Open Text, iManage, eiStream, Captiva, Vignetter
Experience with one or more Search tools: Google, Verity, Autonomy, FAST
Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint). The ability to analyze and conceptualize business needs with the ability to provide technical solutions
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Strong planning prioritizing, organization and management skills
The ability to plan, execute and deliver quality and accurate output on a timely basis (time management skills)

- Design and code enterprise tools to automate repetitive SA tasks, error-prone tasks, and troubleshooting processes
- Improve processes and contribute constructive solutions
- Provide the 3rd and final level of support for eBay's Front-End production environment. Identify, troubleshoot and resolve problems quickly and effectively.
- Participate in a 24x7 oncall rotation to support eBay's production servers and load balancers.

Qualifications:
- 5-10 years experience as a Sys Admin, supporting a large environment (at least 200+ servers). 
- 5 to 10 years of experience with some or many of these areas: Python, Django, PHP, Ruby on Rails, Ajax, Java, Perl   
- Advanced Windows or Unix skills (if you know Unix, we can teach you what you need to know about Windows!) 
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking and HTTP. The ability to analzye and understand packet captures is essential.
- Experience working with Netscaler or f5 Bigip load balancers.
- Have experience designing and coding infrastructure tools related to technologies found in a huge production environment - IBM and HP blade servers, Citrix Netscaler and BigIP f5 load balancers, NetApp filers, and BIND DNS are some examples
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Work well under pressure to troubleshoot production-impacting problems
