Position Summary:
Maria Yee Inc. is a fast growing designer, manufacturer and distributor of high-end furniture for retailers and designers across the United States. This is an entry level position for a Product Development Coordinator, who will be a member of the New Product Development (NPD) team. He/She is responsible for assisting the team to research, analyze, plan, coordinate, and execute the product development efforts. The Product Development Coordinator will participate in the complete product cycle for the retail, showroom and contract customers. Creativity and flexible attitude is expected.
Product Development Responsibilities:
• In a fast-paced environment, assist complete product team, customers, and manufacturing in the creation and up-keep of new and existing products for the entire product lifespan. Follow through with product maintenance and quality improvements.
• Assist designers on product and material research, design and development.
• Process schedules, line drawings, spec sheets, photos and instructions to/from technical design department, automated tracking system and customers.
• Input and track projects from start to finish using state-of-the-art web-based Syncflo application
• Assign SKU numbers for new or modified products
• Create and update specification sheets for new or modified products
• Issue Delivery Quotes (DQ) for approved product samples.
• Manage routing of Request for Product Change (RPC) forms.
• Ensure all sample and production runs are delivered on time as per the project schedule.
• Travel to key customer locations and various trade shows as needed.
• Actively engage in the research of new materials and manufacturing processes that may be used for developing new products and improving current products and production process.
• Have a creative, curious and open mind towards the design and development of world class home and hospitality furnishing products.
Experience and Education:
• 4 year college degree; 2 to 3 years of administrative experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Background in Industrial Design preferred.
• Mandarin language skills a plus

• High energy, attention to detail, excellent execution skills.
• Enthusiastic and positive attitude - must be willing to roll up their sleeves, which may include occasionally being available in evenings
• Superior verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-starting team player with an efficient workflow.

Technical Requirements:
• Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Acrobat and Adobe Creative Suite
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Windows Network
• AutoCAD
