Commercial Appraisal Office based in San Jose is seeking skilled Word Processor/Administrative Assistant with primary responsibilities focused on Word Processing and Report Formatting. <br>
<br>
The candidate must be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and be able to convert documents using Adobe Acrobat Professional. Duties also include, but not limited to: proofreading and editing as well as clerical / administrative support such as answering telephones, preparing and editing appraisal reports, preparing mail and overnight deliveries, copying, faxing, filing, assembly of documents and other clerical duties as needed.  <br>
<br>
In summary, the Word Processor/Administrative Assistant will: <br>
<br>
 Prepare reports, correspondence, memoranda, and/or perform data entry with accuracy, clarity, under deadline using proper grammar, business English proficiency, typing at 50 WPM with accuracy and attention to detail. Transcribe from longhand and tapes, create tables and graphs in Excel and Word, and edit documents in Adobe Acrobat.  Have the ability to multitask, work independently, and prioritize multiple projects, be able to proof their own work and the work of others. <br>
<br>
 Provide administrative support such as answering telephones, use of office equipment, preparing and editing appraisal reports, preparing correspondence, preparing mail and overnight deliveries, copying, faxing, filing, assembly of documents, scheduling necessary service and repairs for all office equipment and fixtures, and other clerical duties, as needed. <br>
<br>
 Have a professional demeanor and appearance, very good written and verbal communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to respond quickly and with good judgment under deadline pressure. <br>

 Education: Minimum High School Diploma/GED required, college degree preferred. <br>

 Experience: Minimum of 2-Years related experience as an Administrative Assistant/Word Processor <br>

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm <br>

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<br>

	Need a writer to help launch a new consumer facing UK legal blog<br>
	Must track legal news and UK developments on a daily basis, using multiple sources<br>

Purpose:<br>
Write, edit and project manage the online and printed materials that support the Office of Marketing and Communications and SCU's overall marketing efforts. <br>

I. Essential Duties and Responsibilities<br>
Write, proof, and edit for University print and online content, including Web features, email announcements, brochures, fliers, bulletins, invitations, and mailers. Audiences include prospective students, parents, alumni, and donors. <br>
Project manage improvement of Web site content. This includes working within a content-management system, setting up photo shoots, collaborating with several offices to gather information, researching, interviewing, and copy editing. <br>
Develop and manage multimedia content, such as Web videos, photo slideshows, and other interactive features. This includes development of creative briefs, shooting scripts, narration, and scheduling with internal personnel and external vendors. <br>
Support University publications, including Santa Clara Magazine, admissions materials, newsletters, and reports, as a writer or editor as needed. <br>
Ensure consistency in style and tone exists throughout all University publications. <br>
Develop/maintain relationships with campus clients (faculty, staff and administrators.) <br>
Other work as assigned.<br>
II. Qualifications<br>
Bachelor's degree and minimum of 5 years full-time related work experience required <br>
Excellent writing, editing, and time-management skills <br>
Experience managing online multimedia content; videography experience a plus <br>
Familiarity with Web-content management systems <br>
Knowledge of and experience with AP and/or Chicago style manuals. Outstanding proofreading and editing skills required <br>
Experience writing and editing Web content preferred <br>
Familiarity with academic environment preferred <br>
