We are currently seeking a part-time Technical Writer to join our our team.
Responsibilities:
•Learn how to use our local commerce/deal of the day commerce software
•Write clear, concise, and logically organized descriptions of all system functions (user guides, training materials)
•Develop and produce online video training materials
•Participate in the development process and document all new features in the development pipeline upon release
•Become the point person for all documentation and training material for the NimbleCommerce platform
•Address errors in documentation by researching customer issues and making changes as appropriate.
•Meet publication deadlines.
•Work independently and with others.
•Work effectively and accurately under pressure.
Requirements:
•BA or BS in a writing or computer technology field or equivalent training
•Evidence of high level of writing and editing skills, and understanding of task-based documentation (writing samples)
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills
•Ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly
Desired but not required:
•Some experience with creating online training videos
•Experience with SaaS and/or e-commerce
We're looking for someone who would like to grow with this company and not just for a short-term commitment. The position is preferred to be local but can also be based remotely in the continental US.
