This position is responsible for managing a large Fitness department and Fitness store associates. This includes, but is not limited to, selecting, scheduling, supervising, coaching, disciplining, training and performance management of associates; sales volume, key driver and profitability analyses and performance; identification and solution of business problems; creation and implementation of competitive strategies; managing productivity standards; and overall department management responsibilities. Position is responsible for sourcing sales opportunities in local market and proactively engaging the local community -- schools, small businesses, physical therapy offices and other potential clients. Ensures that fitness store events/signings/promotions are executed smoothly and works with buying team to ensure flawless customer and vendor/celebrity experiences.
Candidate must have experience selling specialty or high end fitness equipment and accessories. Ideal candidate will have personal training background or significant familiarity with fitness concepts, trends and products.
