As such, this is more than just a ‘sit in the lab and create test scripts’ role. This isn't a senior level role but could be viewed as a platform for someone who may want to transition to a technical marketing role in the future.

Technical Marketing Engineer

PURPOSE
As Technical Marketing Engineer for Interoperability you will be responsible for various interoperability activities with 3rd party partner companies’ devices and applications. You will be responsible for defining test plans and creating configuration guides that document validated configurations and serve as the go-to-person for field and customer support teams.

Communication skills, both oral and written, are essential as the Technical Marketing Engineer, Interoperability must productively work with 3rd party partner companies as well as across all major functional areas in the company including hardware engineering, software engineering, product management, operations, and sales.

Incident Response:

· Respond to computer security incidents according to the Computer Security Incident Response Policy (CSIRP).

· Provide guidance to first responders for handling information security incidents.

· Coordinate efforts among multiple business units during response.

Perform analysis, design, implementation, and architectural work for introduction of new software technologies/platforms that enables application development and deployment. * Solid experience working with Web servers, HTTP protocols, web authentication methods, mime types, debugging using log analysis, HTML/XML standards, httpd.conf attributes, directives and precedence, redirection, common module knowledge and module management.
* Knowledge of SSI, web server tuning. Experience with Apache module debugging and module interactions.
* Knowledge of security and firewall practices. Significant knowledge of high availability concepts, uses and implementation and technical skill to facilitate high availability including load balancing, caching, clustering, and content switching. Must be able to figure out the data path thru a high availability environment, read, and explain configuration files.
* Strong understanding of web technologies and business impact of technology. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven analytical skills for solving technical issues.
* Solid scripting abilities in Perl or Unix Shell is highly preferred
* Prior experience working with Oracle RDBMS is highly preferred

• Install new servers as our Linux cluster grows.

Experience
