• Perform routine process audits in a timely manner.
• Provide engineering support for Flexible Products with focus on Lamination and material handling as well as back up support for any other process as needed.
• Continually monitor processes in Lamination and Flexible Material Handling for quality, effectiveness and efficiency.
• Work with Process and Front-End Engineering to resolve process problems to restore the flow of jobs ASAP to meet daily shipment deadlines.
• Assist with processing/overseeing critical jobs as needed.
• Optimize production processing efficiencies for improvement as needed.
• Be available to managers and operators for any technical issues.
• Prevent scraps when possible.
• Be available for after-hours emergency call.

• BS in related field preferred but not necessary if required minimum work experience exist.
• 5+ years of PCB experience in all aspects of Lamination and Flexible PCB.
• Knowledge and familiarity with ISO is required.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and work instructions.
• Must have a clear, thorough and up-to-date understanding of flexible PCB, PCB designs, materials, and new technologies and of processes required to manufacture high tech PCB.
• Ability to train operators and document in a timely manner.
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills and ability effectively communicate and resolve issues related to the production process.
• Ability to follow procedures and maintain quality of products at all times.
• Proficient computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, and the ability to learn new skills/tasks and grasp new concepts as required.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds maximum and stand/walk throughout the day.
• Flexible to work extended hours base on company needs and available for after-hours emergency calls.

The applicant for this position must have experience working in a Machine Shop and be familiar working with Machined and Sheet-Metal parts.
Computer Experience is required. Experience with Shoptech E2 a plus, but we are willing to train.

Working with and overseeing Packaging personnel
Scheduling Drivers to deliver and pick-up orders.
Preparing Purchase Orders for outside services (Painting, Plating, Heat-Treating, etc)
Receiving parts into an Inventory system
Maintaining an Inventory of spare parts.

Primary Function of Position:
Line Engineer is responsible for supporting production released robotic systems.  Deliver improvements in reliability, serviceability, manufacturability, capacity, and cost.  Provide mechanical support for cross-functional team including electrical and software disciplines.

Roles and Responsibilities:

This position has responsibility and authority for:

• Provides product and process Design for Manufacturability input to enhance manufacturability and servicing.
• Takes ownership of products from production phase through end-of-life.
• Assists in creation and maintenance of efficient “mid-volume” manufacturing assembly line, specifying and/or refining BOMs, work flow processes and detailed work instructions.
• Provides training and support to repair technicians.
• Design, qualify, document and introduce production and service assembly/test fixtures and equipment.
• Takes responsibility for maintaining compliance with medical device quality system including corrective action closure, discrepant material dispositions and ECO implementation.
• Provides technical support analyzing and /or performing failure analysis for discrepant production components, assemblies and field returns.
• Leads/participates in initiative focused on yield improvement, material cost reduction, capacity enhancement, and outsourcing of assemblies.
• Must possess strong communication skills to interface with technicians, product development, planning, purchasing, regulatory, inspection, customer support and clinical marketing organizations.

·         Performs other duties as required.

·         Travel: Position may require 5-10% travel, primarily within U.S.

Preferred:

• MS degree in an Engineering discipline.
• 5-7 years experience as design or manufacturing engineer supporting product with significant mechanical content.
• Prior experience with various sensor applications and technologies, including reliability and performance assessment.
• Prior experience working in an FDA/ISO regulated environment.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively design experiments.
• Prior team leadership demands.
• Prior supplier quality responsibility.
• Prior responsibility for process, equipment or product validation/verification.
• Prior experience applying automated equipment, complex mechanism manufacturing, or robotics.
• Machine tool experiences a plus.
• Experience with ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance.
• Experience in Just-In-Time, Demand Flow Technology, and Lean Manufacturing techniques.
