ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.   Other duties may be assigned on an individual basis:<br>
•	Perform component and final product acceptance activities<br>
•	Identify and report nonconforming materials<br>
•	Oversee sterilization processing at the contract sterilizer<br>
•	Submit materials to sterilizer and laboratories for revalidation activities<br>
•	Perform engineering test protocols as required<br>
•	Perform design verification testing<br>
•	Obtain and forward MSDS for chemicals to EH&S<br>
•	Label chemical materials as they arrive in the facility<br>
•	Knowledge of nonconforming materials system<br>
•	Train new Inspectors/Technicians<br>

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:									<br>

•	High school diploma required and some college or technical education preferred<br>
•	Ability to perform basic mathematical functions.<br>
•	Experience with mechanical inspection tools and manual methods.<br>
•	Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and QSR software<br>
•	5 – 7 years experience in Quality Assurance and/or manufacturing in a manufacturing environment.<br>

Summary: <br>
Develops, implements, and coordinates product assurance program to prevent or eliminate defects in new or existing products by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.<br>

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:<br>
<br>
Key Customer Interface for Quality and Reliability Problems<br>
Maintains DSCC Approved Parts Lists and develops appropriate C of C’s for new products for listing with DSCC.<br>
Develops Qualification Plans and supports approval through Technical Review Board.<br>
Maintains historical data relative to customer quality reporting systems and initiates corrective action if and when those reports indicate a problem is developing.<br>
Reviews, maintains and analyzes Quality Conformance Test Results.<br>
Develops annual internal and vendor audit plans, ensures that the audit plan is accomplished and that the audits are through and effective.<br>
Oversees Material Review Board Activities.<br>
Administers Discrepancy Notification System and ensures effective corrective actions and appropriate dispositions are made.  Periodically analyzes DN data looking for larger trends that are not seen or corrected on a case-by-case view.<br>
Coordinates customer and government audits of our systems, subcontractors and facilities worldwide.<br>

Task and Responsibilities:<br>

Set and maintain processing equipment within operational parameters.  <br>

Read blueprints and traveler documents to produce and move product. <br>

Skills and Knowledge:<br>

Capable of understanding and act upon written instructions in English including customer standards, blueprints, and shop control documents.  <br>
Must have good English skills: written and oral communication skills are required including keyboarding experience for data entry and documentation.   <br>
Team working skills are critical for success.<br>
Good hand, finger and eye coordination required.<br>

Work Environment:<br>
Operator must be willing to work in different environments as needed.  Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.   Ability to stand for long periods of time.  Ability to work up to 12 hour shifts and occasional overtime. Must be comfortable working with or around areas with chemicals.<br>

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:<br>

-	Develops and maintains manufacturing operations business plans to include all program requirements, labor hours, cycle, and production costs. <br>
-	Provides input to the development of product strategy and research and development of new and emerging products.  <br>
-	Establishes production and quality control standards, develops budget and cost controls, and obtains data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered.  <br>
-	Provides guidance to the development of a manufacturing process plan, including personnel requirements, material needs, subcontract requirements, facility needs, and tooling and equipment needs.  <br>
-	Ensures all established costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met.  <br>
-	Coordinates manufacturing activities with all other functions of the organization and suppliers to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.  <br>
-	Reviews production and operating reports and directs the resolution of operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.  <br>

Summary:<br>
Develop and maintain the global master schedule to support worldwide production, sales and inventory objectives. Coordinate the distribution of global finished goods and establish processes to support the Customer Service, Sales, and Inventory Control departments. Direct the planning and execution of material procurement and MRP activities required to support Sunnyvale manufacturing, and the Atlantech, Parallax, and Opus product lines. <br>
Responsible for SAP O2F workstream and Materials Management subject matter expert; coordinates with IT to lead changes, enhancements, and problem fixes. <br>
Manage planning and purchasing activities for Field Service, Facilities, Services, and other non-inventory items <br>
Develop and maintain strong working relationship and communication with Costa Rica manufacturing facility and Materials department. <br>
Monitor inventory levels and optimize according to company priorities.  Ensure backorder situations, E&O and inventory shrinkage situations are minimized. Minimize excess and obsolete inventory and maximize inventory turns. <br>
Develop procurement strategies that control costs, and ensure continuous and efficient manufacturing flow. <br>
Review purchase price variance summaries and recommends changes to part standards when required. <br>
Monitor and contribute to resolving MRB, excess and obsolete material dispositions. <br>
Track performance of existing suppliers with respect to on-time deliveries, errors in shipments and supplier satisfaction. Communicates quality performance obtained through Sunnyvale Supplier Quality Engineering Department. <br>
Set priorities, goals and objectives for individuals within the department <br>
Maintain positive and effective working relationships with vendors/suppliers to accomplish group goals in an ethical manner. <br>
Work with Finance to ensure the accurate reporting of manufacturing and materials data to support accounting and gross margin analysis <br>

Summary<br>
 Manage the Sports Medicine Coblation Process Engineering team to meet goals and objectives by improving and optimizing manufacturing processes as well as improving production flow and throughput of new products from R&D into Production. §  Product Development Engineering:<br>
The main responsibility is to provide support in the design teams for the manufacturing engineering function for manufacturability of product and responsible for design transfer of the new product to the manufacturing.  Should assume full ownership of device manufacturing after design verification has been completed, i.e. must lead Design Validation, Tier-1, and transfer into production.  The employee will continue to support the product thereafter, including after it has been transferred into production.<br>
§  Sustaining Engineering:<br>
The main responsibility is to manage the daily engineering support activities of MRB, ECNs, Rework, MPIs, resolving quality issues, developing and training new manufacturing techniques, and performing failure analysis of the rejected products.<br>

Develop a harmonious ethical working relationship with various departments to help support the company’s objectives and goals. <br>
Support the required documentation and training for cGMP and EN/ISO 9001 compliance. <br>
Develop the staff to be the team players in taking ownership of manufacturing processes and product issues from design till the life of the product. <br>
Performs complex activities for the development, implementation and maintenance of manufacturing methods in conjunction with off-shore facility for optimization of manufacturing processes.  This may include proper BOM’s, MPI’s, Router, ECN’s, and other required documentation. <br>
Drive cost reduction projects to improve manufacturing yields, assembly & test times, and material cost reduction. <br>

<description><![CDATA[<p>PRIMARY FUNCTION / PRIMARY GOALS / OBJECTIVES:<br>
Provides overall Senior Management leadership responsibility for Hematology Reagents and instrument manufacturing departments. Direct reports  include manufacturing supervisors or managers, and indirect reports include production control specialists, automation maintenance technicians, and warehousing functions.  Participates in developing budget information and department production schedule for areas of responsibility. Coach and lead team members to be accountable for production quality, continuous improvement, safety, housekeeping and overall policy adherence. Responsible for the development and implementation of all manufacturing capacity planning, manufacturing activities to meet production schedules, quality standards, and cost objectives in a regulatory environment.  Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply.  Plans and administers procedures and budgets, both operational and capital. Selects and develops personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the production function.  Identifies and executes continuous improvement opportunities. Manufactures product for clinical trials, experimental trials and saleable product.</p>

<p>MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:<br>
Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system.<br>
1. Develop, establish, and maintain operational objectives and assignments in the production of Hematology Reagents and instruments.<br>
2.Responsible for all of the activities to manufacture product to design requirements, FDA guidelines and operating procedures.<br>
3. Develop key performance indices, set goals and develop plans for continuous improvement in quality, cost, employee performance, and maintain a high level of employee safety.<br>
4. Develop strategy and lead continuous improvement process activities.<br>
5. Develop budgets, manage financial costs and look for cost effective solutions and cost reduction opportunities.<br>
6. Develop and nurture high performance teams.<br>
7. Advise and assist the Director of Operations in general areas of manufacturing operations.<br>
8. Develop and foster a high performance team environment both internally and with other supervisors, managers, team members, process engineering, logistics, global sourcing and quality assurance management personnel.</p>

<p>ACCOUNTABILITY / SCOPE:<br>
Position is accountable for 100% of all Santa Clara produced sales revenues.  Poor quality, insufficient capacity planning and execution or inefficient production substantially impacts the organization's commercial bottom line.</p>

<p><b>QUALIFICATIONS:</b></p>

<p>Basic Qualifications:<br>
Knowledge of regulations and standards affecting IVDs and Biologics.<br>
10 plus years of manufacturing experience with companies engaged in the manufacture of high quality, FDA regulated products.<br>
Proven leadership skills, results oriented, highly collaborative, team player, and self-starter who can operate in a fast pace environment.<br>
Track record on cost reduction, high quality performance, and continuous improvement.<br>
Experience in state-of-the-art, multi-step, high volume, process control manufacturing and process development.<br>
Experience with CFR, QSR, ISO 9001/CE Mark requirements.<br>
Manufacturing management experience in manufacturing planning, documented systems, GMP, and quality.<br>
Demonstrated knowledge/skill in Six Sigma, lean manufacturing, and Quality Management.<br>
Financial Budget and materials experience.</p>
