LitePoint’s Operations Manager is an energetic hands-on manager who owns the product availability and revenue plan attainment for all of the released product lines. This person will act as focal point in development, communication, and execution of the product supply and contingency plans to meet LitePoints overall revenue goals.
Second part of this role involves managing the process quality and production issues throughout the supply chain process. Strong SMT and the assembly background are essential. In addition, this person backfills the role of an NPI manager on as needed basis supporting the existing counterpart.
Drive product forecasting process; analyze the forecast, inventories, and the supply chain commits to drive needed actions on weekly basis.
Analyze product bookings vs. availability on daily basis and drive required actions meeting customer demands.
Coordinate closely with NPI team members to ensure proper CM support available for successful new product launch and smooth production transition.
Partner with CM procurement teams to allocate constrained components, ensure aggressive material inventory targets met, and ensure minimal material obsolescence during product transition.
Present product status updates on a weekly basis to Operations executive management team.
Improve product planning processes. Identify improvement opportunities, and drive projects to completion, to achieve targeted measurable benefits.
Establish and monitor key operational metrics ensuring the product availability, process quality, and the cost objectives being met.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have 10+ years Operations experience, preferably in a high tech or computer-related industry. Prior experience in production, product planning, production control, inventory management, and the NPI is must. The candidate must be able to exert tactful influence within the LitePoint and the partner organizations. Must be a strong team player and
communicator. Candidate should be comfortable presenting to executive management. A persistent attention to detail, and a high level of comfort in working with both the tactical and strategic activities.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
BA/BS Required.
• Minimum BS Degree in Business or Electronics Engineering
• 10+ years manufacturing experience is a must. Previous production/program management experience required.
• Expert level comfort using planning/MRP and the Excel spreadsheet tools.
• Hands-on purchasing experience is a plus. Able to search components, place purchase orders.
• Thorough knowledge of the SMT and semi-complex electro mechanical assembly processes.
• Able to expose and bring closure to measurable opportunities.
• Must be fluent in both written and verbal English
This position is located in Sunnyvale, California. Candidates from other geographies will also be considered.
