Star One Credit Union is currently seeking a Graphic Designer to work towards furthering its marketing objectives. Responsibilities will include overseeing electronic pre-press, layout & design of internal and external publications; creating professional graphics, images and designs for various print and online publications; coordinating with outside printers, service agencies, advertisers and vendors on various deadline-sensitive projects; supporting the marketing team and other departments with special projects and copy writing; and working with other departments and the marketing team on the inception and development of creative ideas and concepts for individual campaigns

A Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Art or related field, or equivalent field experience plus a minimum of 5 years of experience in graphic design or a related area are required. Must be proficient in copywriting, graphic design and publishing software. A thorough understanding of pre-press process, including color techniques, digital file formats, document set-up, typesetting rules, and printing options and techniques, is necessary. Must be skilled in commercial and fine art illustration, digital image editing, and website design. Must possess a high degree of proficiency with Adobe CS2, Photoshop, Illustrator, Quark Xpress, MS Office, Fetch or similar to a Windows-based environment. We seek an individual with excellent graphic design, copywriting and project management skills to ensure assignments are completed professionally and promptly, while projecting and enhancing the Credit Union's professional image.
