Product Marketing Engineer
Overview
A Product Marketing Engineer (PME) helps to define products and acts as the conduit between the sales team and the engineering team. The PME works in the marketing team to:
• Help define new products
• Maintain and optimize existing products
• Develop sales collateral to help promote products
• Works with the engineering team to improve existing products
• Works with the sales and applications engineering team to resolve customer issues and drive issue closure within engineering for product related problems
The PME is responsible for bridging across many different functional aspects of the company to help deliver valuable products to the customer base.
The ideal candidate should have a BSEE degree and interest to work in a diverse range of company functions including: engineering, business, and operations. Familiarity with wireless / RF measurements and principles is a plus, but not required. Additionally, basic C / C++ level programming skills are required.
Key Roles
• Assist with product and launch collateral
o Develop demonstration kits
Manual or automated product demonstration kits
o Develop product collateral
Datasheets
Brochures
o Assist with product and sales presentations
Help develop PowerPoint presentations for sales and internal uses
• Competitive analysis
o Hand on Competitive analysis
Automated and speed testing of different types of test equipment
• Work with marketing and sales team to develop ways to continually breathe life into existing products
o New features
o Promotional activities
• Work with MFG team on
o Cost reduction efforts
o Test automation efforts
