POSITION: Paralegal
REPORTS TO: General Counsel
LOCATION: Specialized Bicycle Components, Morgan Hill CA

SUMMARY: Candidate will oversee litigation matters, with emphasis on personal injury and product liability; assist in contract drafting and administration; and maintain case files and library of essential resource materials.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Oversee litigation matters and work closely with outside counsel.
2. Maintain legal files.
3. Draft correspondence and agreements as requested.
4. Must have the ability to research and solve legal issues.

EXPERIENCE:
1. Minimum 5 years of litigation experience.
2. Working knowledge of trial preparation, court filings, and discovery.
3. Organization and file management.
4. Demonstrates attention to detail, initiative, and a positive attitude.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
1. Team player but also able to work independently.
2. Ability to organize, prioritize assignments, and multi-task.
3. Must be able to communicate effectively.
4. Calendar deadlines.
5. Excellent editing and proofreading skills are a must.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Office, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
