Maintenance Technician
Our Company is seeking a highly motivated, hard working and dependable individual to join our facility in Freemont, CA. We have over 25 years in the maintenance business and we service some of the most respected retailers in the country.
In this position you will be responsible for direct interaction with the customer and will also supervise the job site during the service call. Service calls typically start around 2:00 AM and may involve out of town travel for up to two weeks at a time. Job involves use of hand and light power tools and 95% of work is performed outdoors. Applicants must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs (25 Kg) repeatedly. Welding experience and experience with hand and light power tools is required.
This position may also be expected to travel as the leader of a 3-4 person crew for 1-2 weeks a month for 4-5 months a year to regional parts warehouses. At this site you will supervise a crew conducting preventive maintenance and repairs on material handling equipment. This role is fast paced and requires a significant energy and leadership in order to drive efficiencies and maximize profits.
Successful applicants will have experience leading and training team members and will be articulate, goal oriented, and possess excellent organizational skills. Job history must show examples of success while working in positions without direct supervision.
Job requirements:
5-7 years of supervisory experience in a maintenance environment
Willing and able to travel
Proven success at building and leading small teams
Proven success in working in unsupervised conditions
Initiative, integrity, motivation
Demonstrated experience improving processes
Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs (25 Kg) repeatedly
Welding experience required
Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
