The position of Sales Director is one that focuses upon the achievement of new sales consistent with the yearly budgeted revenue growth. In addition to direct sales activities this position encompasses service, participation in strategy development and active participation in problem identification and laboratory operations improvement.

Job Duties:

1. Markets, sells and promotes products and/or services to existing and potential clients through direct contact in order to increase profitable growth.
2. Prepares client proposals by researching various required components (pricing, services etc) writing text and assembling a completed document for presentation to current clients or potential new accounts.
3. Generates and participates in the development of various correspondence, forms, brochures, charts, service manuals, schedules and special marketing materials for distribution to internal and external clients.
4. Oversees account installation by managing and coordinating all related activities necessary to ensure successful initiation of new clients.
5. Monthly, prepares a sales report updating progress in meeting goals, describing competitive activity in the territory, describing serious service issues, identifying clients at risk and setting goals for the coming month.
6. Produces a weekly call report describing sales calls from the previous week.
7. Performs any activities necessary to assure retention of current client accounts.
8. Investigates and reports any areas of possible compliance risk to the Compliance Officer
9. Assumes responsibility for self-improvement, by identifying, communicating and seeking resources or instruction to meet personal learning needs.
10. Maintains professional appearance consistent with the image the division wishes to project to its clients.
11. Meets or exceeds new sales quota established by the General Manager.


Requirements:

Bachelors Degree or equivalent
5+ years Sales and Marketing experience in a high production environment with high quality standards
Knowledge of and access to PCs, MS-Windows, Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project
Strong leadership skills
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Knowledge of the operations of a laboratory extremely desirable
Ability to manage cross-functional teams
Demonstrated knowledge of policies, procedures and operations
