As a "Life Skills Coach", you will teach and be a role model for developmentally disabled adults. You will help them gain independence by instructing them on how to complete daily living activities ON THEIR OWN, instead of depending on others to do it for them.

Some of the skills you will teach include: money management(check writing, balancing a budget), household awareness(how to correctly maintain a home), exercise and nutrition (prepare healthy meals),recreational skills (joining special olympics, bowling leagues, dances), advocacy for self (how to stand up for oneself), and learning how to set up medical and dental appointments (and understanding what physicians tell you).

Our locations served include: San Jose, Campbell, Sunnyvale, Mountain View, Palo Alto, Los Altos, Santa Clara, Fremont, San Leandro, Union City, Milpitas, Castro Valley, Pleasanton, and Hayward,

Minimum Requirements: Applicants must be a minimum of 21 years of age, have a high school diploma, clean DMV record, reliable transportation, current auto insurance, and successfully pass background check. Applicants must also be able to complete required documentation and State required paperwork as assigned. Employees are required to complete their scheduled workloads as assigned. Basic computer skills are necessary. Strong written and verbal skills are required. This is an entry level position. Room for advancement is available, company sponsored training is provided for eligible employees.

This is a FT position. Full time is up to 40 hours/week or PT position working at least 25 hours per week. We offer Medical/Dental benefits,and PTO for eligible employees. Starting pay is between $10.00-$13.00/hr DOE.
