Your backsplash adds personality to your kitchen or bathroom countertop. You can choose solid surfaces like granite or Silestone or save a bundle with a tile backsplash. But tile is visible and long-lasting, so it must be done right! We'll teach you everything you need to do beautiful tile work.
In this class, you will learn:
* The tools you'll need, and how to use them
* How to estimate the amount and types of tile and other materials you'll need
* How to install cement board backing
* How to plan your layout to maximize results and minimize wastage
* How to lay backsplash tile, including specialty tiles like bullnose or quarter rounds
* How to grout
All DIY Academy classes are hands-on seminars. You'll learn what to do, then actually practice doing it.
