WEISS ASSOCIATES, a premier San Francisco Bay Area environmental science, engineering and management firm, is seeking a Senior Project Engineer with experience in designing, installing and operating groundwater remediation and water treatment systems. This position will be based in our Mountain View office and may work periodically out of our Emeryville office.

The successful candidate will manage remediation projects; maintain existing groundwater treatment systems; produce technical reports submitted to
regulators and clients; maintain excellent relations with clients; take the lead in obtaining new projects and work from new clients, as well as existing clients. S/he will provide high levels of professional expertise for remediation strategies, systems, and component designs. S/he will design and execute sound remediation strategies and systems for groundwater, soils, and vapor intrusion. S/he will provide innovative remediation ideas, leadership for remediation projects, and adaptability in solving unexpected problems.

Requirements include a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in engineering (civil, chemical, environmental, or mechanical engineering) and five to ten years of relevant environmental experience; Master’s or PhD a plus. Current registration as a California Professional Civil Engineer is required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must, as well as a strong working knowledge of MS Office applications; knowledge of Autodesk Civil3D, ArcGIS and databases are also pluses. As occasional travel to offsite locations for field observations and technical meetings is expected, a valid California driver’s license, vehicle insurance and an insurable driving record are also required.
