Self-storage facility seeks full-time, experienced Customer Service Rep in Sunnyvale, CA. Applicants must be available to work any day of the week.
This opportunity also requires that the candidates:
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Have acceptable results of a background check including good credit
• Communicate effectively in English, both written and verbally
• Demonstrate effective customer service skills on telephone and in person
• Have recent computer experience (preferably MS Office)
Work Experience:
Minimum five years recent experience in customer service
Minimum two years recent supervisory experience
Previous sales experience a must, self-storage or property management experience is a plus
Position Requires Candidates:
• Act as senior representative at store to assess & solve daily issues
• Coach and train staff on customer service & sales techniques
• Show and rent storage units as they become available
• Collect rent payments and accurately enter data into computer
• Deposit funds to employer account on a daily basis
• Perform sales and marketing requirements
• Participate in daily collection calls for past-due accounts
• Clean and prepare vacant storage units for rent.
• Perform daily security check of facility (lock check/audit)
• Perform minor maintenance and custodial duties as needed to maintain excellent curb appeal
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to sit or stand for at least 8 hours per day
• Must be able to traverse entire property grounds for audit, maintenance or tour purposes
• Must be able to lift or move up to 35 lbs frequently and 50 lbs occasionally
• Must be able to perform general minor maintenance and custodial duties of the facility including but not limited to sweeping/mopping floors, removing debris from vacated units, cleaning restrooms, removing scuff marks from walls and doors, picking up refuse on the property and removing weeds.
