Hi, I am looking into starting a support group that is for people that have witnessed a suicide, found a suicide victim, lived with, loved, knew or are effected in anyway from a suicide and would like to just go to a once a week support group meeting and talk with others that are or have been tramatized from someone comitting suicide or anthting to do with a suicide that has effected them, if you get my drift here.
I am a young adult that recently went through a traumatizing suicide with my grandfather and found him right after. I have found that talking with others that have undergone a similar expierience really helps you see that you are not alone and that being able to feel comfurtable talking about it and that is a important part of grieving. There are also many other things I have discovered on my own without therepy and medicine that helps people through tramatic suicides as well.
I can go on and on but right now want to figure out how to go about starting a support group and what things I need to have for the group.
Any refernces or ideas and info will help.
Thank you
