Hi There!

We currently have a womens indoor soccer team at Silver Creek Sportsplex in San Jose that plays on Sunday evenings. The games start anywhere between 5 and 7 p.m.

The games are split into 2 twenty minute halves on small turf fields in a 7 v. 7 format.

We desperately need more players due to injury and prior commitments.

So we are looking for women over the age of 18 with some former soccer experience. (You don't need to be a pro!)

There are 8 games in a season not counting play-offs.

There is a team fee of $100 and a membership fee to Silver Creek Sportsplex of either $100/year or $45/season only.

If you cannot commit to playing an entire season feel free to come out and play for whatever games you are available and pay only $10/game.

We are just a bunch of girls out looking to have fun, play a sport we love and get some exercise but we need more legs!

Hello,

My name is Koni and I am looking for a live in position as a House Manager. I have worked for Innvision in the past as Resident Manager. I worked and lived with high functioning mentally ill clients. My duties included the running of the home, chore listing, up keep of the house, collect program fees (rent of $250.00 dollars) as well as handle disputes. There was a Case Manager on duty 20 hours a week and each person would meet with him/her. Every client was responsible for their own food, keeping rooms clean and turning in a 20 hour work sheet. On your sheet, you had to prove that during those hours you either worked, went to school or did volunteer work. Each sheet had to have a phone number for verification. Every Monday morning, we had a manadatory House Meeting to discuss how each client was doing with their behavior as well as medications. Each person had a small locker in their room to lock up meds and what could not fit, was locked in my office/bedroom. This was a coed house and a 2 year program. Clients were required to save $25.00 dollars a month in a savings account so when the two years approached, they would have money for a deposit on an apartment. As a House Manager, I considered myself to be fair and most of all patient. Some of our clients had drug and alcohol issues and would often get drug tested. If there was a client that tested positive for a substance, they had the chance to go to a rehab facility for 30 days. If the problem continued, a 30 day notice was given to move off of the premises. My hours were 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Monday-Saturday, but it was more of a 24/7 position because there would be issues that would come up in the middle of the night. We had a maintenance staff that was on duty if there was a problem with anything in the home. All of us worked in the garden and grew vegetables as well as do Spring cleaning of the home. In the summer we would have garage sales. I started a program called "Friends and Family Get Together". We would have a bar-b-que to get to know the family of the clients and this was somethng that was done once a year. I am still in the nonprofit industry working for In Home Support Services. I come from a retail background and found myself in nonprofit by accident. Although I found this to be a challenge, I felt like I am helping people which I enjoy doing. I am a hard worker and I love to cook. I think most of all is that I have a great sense of humor which is very important. The name of the home that I worked in was called "Stevens House" on 10th and San Salvador. The church that was called St. Paul's was on the property and once a month we had a pot luck dinner and often would volunteer and clean the church. We also had a weekly Health Realization meeting and if we were lucky we would get a guest speaker such as Cathy Casey. I can go on and on about why I love working in nonprofit, but I would love to speak to someone about possible employment. Ginji is a friendly, playful and energetic eight month old Golden Retriever mix. It is hard to tell exactly what breeds are in her, but she also probably has some Lab and Basenji blood. She is about the fastest dog we have ever seen and has the slender frame of a Basenji. Ginji's foster mom has fallen in love with her endearing and loyal personality. Ginji sleeps peacefully next to her foster mom's bed every night and gets along well with her current friends - a tiny Dashcund puppy and another golden retriever companion. Ginji loves to stop and play with every dog she meets while on her walks, and has great leash manners. She learns quickly and seems to be fully potty trained. The Faux Hawaiians is an established band is looking for a replacement for our longtime ukelele player and singer. The band consists of bass, guitar, lap steel guitar, and ukelele. We all sing also. The band has been esistent for the past 6 years and gigging with the current personnel for 5 years. We play a hot mix of Hawaiian Hapa Haole music, American Hot Jazz, Swing, and classic blues from the 1920s to 1940. We need someone easy to get along with and who has a pleasing stage personality. We currently have over 100 songs in our repertoire and are always adding more. We are based in the South Bay but play all over the bay area. A good samartian contacted my about a puppy that she found. However, she is not a puppy or the breed that I was told. I can't place her through the rescue group that I work with. But she does need a home. She is a spayed female Chihuahua. She was found in a park with a collar wrapped around her neck twice and she was bleeding. The indivivual that found her couldn't keep her. I couldn't bear the thought of her being put back out on the street, so I brought her home and I am trying to find her a forever home. I took her to the vet and found out that she was not microchipped. She is spayed and weighs about 8 lbs. She is a very sweet little girl that loves to be around people. She likes to be held. She is a little nervous around my two big dogs and it has taken her 3 days to conquer the stairs. If you have a place in your home for this sweet little girl please email me ASAP.

Yes, old customers can't be dumped, but new ones looking for coverage they did not previously have before are still excludable. The Democratic Party therefore concludes the GOP plan would cover, at best, no more than about 3 million of 47 million now uninsured. People with conditions like, for example, diabetes, are still out, if they were not covered previously by someone.

I also note how people like you scream when online, rather than try to have rational discussions.

Frankly, and I speak as a former recovering ex Conservative, one thing that turned me off about the Right was the endlessly angry tone of voice. Democrats and liberals may be silly at times, but they are really a lot more fun and pleasant to be around. This I state from experience.

Why can't the Right ever just lighten up? It's like you were born furious, and I got tired of that demeanor, and left. Look at Ronald Reagan: he got al those votes, including mine, by his sunny, cheerful dispoisition. I really miss him, unlike your sort. Better liberals who are fools but happy than Conservatives who endlessly rage about everything. Over all these long decades, what have you accomplised by it? Chill, and mellow out.

I just had to comment on the jerk telling this person he/she is sad for trying to get free stuff for "dad". If you may haven't noticed, economic conditions are not all that favorable. Not everybody has so much money that this recession has not effected them negatively. And yes, gifts are to come from the heart, but getting something or asking for something for free does not mean that you have not put thought into it. The time of setting up a tank can be a great project for father and child to work on together. Maybe they were planning on refurbishing this and/or maybe doing some cabinetry work or possibly have found "dad's" favorite fish that he had as a kid, but maybe the fish is a bit expensive and they need a bit of help on the tank. Despite the reasoning for this individual wanting a tank, you have provided the community with an example of your ignorance, lack of compassion for people and simply, pure stupidity. The post maybe a scam and it maybe somebody just wanting a tank, however you have directly commented with regard to "getting something free" for their father and in my mind, there is nothing wrong with that. Gifts can't all come from Nordstrom! I have kids and if one of them spent the time to search for something that they felt I really wanted, I wouldn't care about the condition, whether it was free or even if the damn tank was cracked. If somebody spent the time and energy to put it together, that's the gift in itself!

What 89% of America thinks about one issue of health care (Guess who disagrees with all of them? )

Yes, you read correctly. No misprint, no typo here. A galactic eighty-nine percent (89%) of Americans polled, people from all parties and political views and independents, feel that insurance companies should be legally banned from their current practice of refusing to cover people with such preexisting conditions as diabetes and even, as in one case, a surgery to take out an appendix six months before a man broke his leg in a completely unrelated event. Eighty-nine of Americans think such a policy is absurd and immoral. (You have to wonder about the last 11%!)

Please put this in persepctive. No politcian has ever won a political race with that many votes, 89%, even in safe seat districts, assuming anyone is running against them at all. 89% is what North Korean tyrants get - maybe.

Let's be clear. Many people argue over such issues as public options, abortion coverage and what not. But 89% of Americans feel that insurance carriers must stop this cruel practice of denying coverage to those with preexisting conditions they cannot help. A whopping number.

So, then, which party disagrees with the 89% and valiantly supports the hardball attitude of that last 11%? you ask.

Yes, you guessed it. The Republicans, our beloved GOP. Against the wishes of the 89%, their so-called "alternative" package (try not to laugh) to health care reform (I use the word with utmost looseness) baldly permits insurance carriers to continue this brutal current practice, which goes on every day and excludes millions of people, even the very wealthy who could otherwise afford the sky high premiums.

It's the GOP versus 89% of America, folks.

It's a free country. You can think, say or vote however you may or may not desire regarding this astounding statistic.

But you all really ought to know this cosmic fact. I owe it to you to simply inform you of this information, and now I have done so.

You can Google it if you don't believe it.
