DBI Beverage, Inc., a leading beverage distributor in northern California, is seeking a full time Accounts Receivable/Staff Accountant to join its San Jose location.

The primary responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Assist Controller with Month End close: Prepare and post journal entries; Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts; Record monthly accruals, and etc.
• Follows established procedures for processing receipts, cash, credit card payments, customer credits, and files documents after posting.
• Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
• Assists with printing invoices/statements including sending them out and prepare applicable debit/credit memos on customer accounts.
• Knows and consistently applies finance concepts, practices and procedures; adheres to company and financial policies.
• Special projects as required by Controller
• All other duties as assigned.
Skill Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree required. BS/BA in Accounting or Finance preferred
• At least 2 years of experience in accounting/finance
• Strong understanding of General Ledger and P&L
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Office (demonstration of Excel proficiency will be required)
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills
• Ability to communicate and interact with all levels in the organization
• Must work well independently and as an effective member of a team and project a self-directed attitude.
• Posses the ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple assignments.
Note: There will be a 90 day trial period with the potential for permanent position.
