My fiance is moving to SF from NYC and we need an apartment that can accommodate 2 people for the rest of the year. A studio, 1 bedroom or even an apartment/house share (ideally with its own bathroom) would be great. We prefer SF or Berkeley, but we are flexible and are willing to go anywhere near BART or Caltrain, as long as its a reasonable commute to SF.

I am a DIY type person that occasionally has a project for one of my vehicles. I am looking for a small COVERED (prefer enclosed) space to avoid doing work on the street outside my apartment. Since these are usually planned projects, and not "emergency" repairs, a spare sharing arrangement would work well. I would probably only need the space for 1 weekend every other month. Current projects on my mind are changing the springs on my VW Vanagon, and inspecting (and probably replace) the wheel bearings on my car.

I live in Berkeley.. the closer the better, or near bart would be ok too. Maybe we can work out a share agreement or a per-weekend price?

Hi, I have two part-time jobs right now, tutoring children in two different cities, one in Menlo Park, one in East Bay. I sometimes don't have a place to sleep, and have experienced some interesting experiences, but it is also dangerous; like one night in San Francisco in the middle of night; I was chased by a young man probably was with a gang; another night I was found under the table of a hotel while I was waiting for my bus.

Please help me to get out of my situation. I can pay up to $700 a month with low deposit, or up to $800 a month if you don't require deposit! Or $200 a week, or $30 a night (even just one or two nights a week will help! I only need to sleep and take a shower, then I can leave your house!)

By the way, I am no bumps, or drug addict or mentally ill! I have many injuries in the past (some were accidents, some were done maliciously!) But I have never collected a dime from people who injured me or from insurance company.

i am a 23 year old queer organizer, writer, and healer who will be in the bay area until Jan 1 to intern with some amazing organizations.

i am looking for a place to live for november and december, or some part of that time.

the work i am doing is unpaid, so i am looking for cheap or free housing. i would be excited to house-sit or pet-sit, or do chores in exchange for a place to stay. would also be interested in a cheap sublet. i prefer SF because it's closer to where i'm working, but east bay is fine, too.

i am pretty quiet and low-key and clean at home. i like to read, write, study social movements, read tarot, go to dance parties, cook food, hang out with animals, think about liberation and justice.

Although we have our stuff, most is in storage because of this house purchase ordeal, a furnished place would be ideal since we wouldn't have to get settled again for only a short time... BUT if your place is not furnished we'll make do, we've had plenty of hard times as it is, so we'll make do. :-)

If you, or anyone you know, is willing to sublet or rent on week to week basis i would forever be grateful... we are just seeking a comfortable temporary place we can call "home" while we are stuck in this horrible transition. We prefer Petaluma because my daughter goes to school here, but may re-think on other nearby areas.
