Hello SF! I am a 28 yr old female who recently relocated to SF from Boston this month. I am currently subletting a place in the lower haight that will end in December (or I can stay longer depending on when I find a place). I'm looking for my next home sometime after Jan 1, and am open to another sublet (committing to around 3 months) or to a month-to-month lease.

I'm still getting to know the city so I'm open to different areas, but my ideal location would be central, yet neighborhood-y. Some places that appeal to me so far include: the castro, duboce triangle, church & market, noe valley, cole valley, inner sunset, inner richmond, duboce triangle, and NoPA. I don't have a car, so easy public transit is important, and it'd be nice if there were cool cafes/restaurants/groceries nearby. I am open to a furnished or unfurnished room. Wifi, laundry access, and a well-equipped kitchen would also be plusses (though I can contribute kitchen stuff as well).

As far as living environment, I've lived in many different situations so I can be pretty flexible, but the main thing I'm hoping to find is a place that feels comfortable and like home. I really miss my old roommates in Boston (my current one is pretty great too), and I'd love to have people to share a meal with occasionally or a quick conversation at the end of the day. As a roommate, I am clean, responsible, communicative, and considerate. I know those are a lot of adjectives, but I think they're important :) I'm also queer/trans-friendly, a non-smoker with no pets, and unfortunately allergic to cats.

Hello. Let me tell you a little about myself to see if I might be the perfect person for your house-sitting needs.

I am a mature woman (56 to be exact) who has lived in the same place in Santa Cruz for years. This has been my year for change. I left my house of 13 years which is being torn down and will be resurrected as one of those two story huge beach houses that seem so popular in Santa Cruz. Professionally I am an acupuncturist but have decided to take a year off and write (I am published, am a member of NWU, and do already make money writing but have never had the time to pursue writing as a full time career).

I am looking at different parts of the bay area as I am trying to decide whether to stay in Santa Cruz or move.

I was asked to housesit for a friend for a month last year and found that I got more done than I usually do, loved the sense of adventure and seem to be good at doing this. So now three "jobs" later, two that involve pet care, I can say that I still think of this a fun.

I bring to the table as your housesitter/petsitter some unique attributes.

I am organized-if you need a bill paid or a dog taken to the vet or fish food purchased at a particular time, I'm your woman. I don't forget things and I take responsibility seriously.

I am also hyper vigilant about safety. I won't leave a candle burning, the iron on, the fireplace unattended or the oven on. I know how to turn off the gas post earthquake. I won't leave your house unlocked.

I know how to flip a circuit breaker, change a light bulb, and light a pilot.

If you have a dog that needs care, I am also probably your person. I have a knack with dogs that is fairly unusual (as an acupuncturist, I worked with dogs). I am just finishing a job taking care of a 12 year old spaniel. She had severe skin problems when I started working with her. She gets acupuncture three times a week, Chinese herbs, supplements, etc. She now has a beautiful coat and hasn�t scratched in weeks. Whatever the issue with your dog from health problems to separation anxiety, I know what to do. I am however, not that adept with cats. I like them and can follow instructions but would need detailed instructions.

I have a green thumb and can water your plants, inside and outside.

I communicate well. If you call me and need something done that you forgot or that is unexpected, I will be able to clearly do that task.

I am hyper clean and will make sure everything is exactly as you left it upon your arrival home.

I respect boundaries and am just not nosy.

I have no substance abuse issues and can provide criminal background check info.

I also have excellent credit and can provide a credit history as well as references that are quite outstanding.

I know how to clean out the fridge when I leave, make sure the bathroom is spotless and leave you fresh flowers.

Finally, I know how to pull in my energy, leaving your house just like it was when you left. I will not have rearranged your furniture or reorganized your kitchen. You will come home knowing that your home is still your home.

I am not interested in overly isolated situations as I am actively involved in work and other activities on a regular basis. I am looking for a housing situation for my daughter and her family. They have fallen on some very hard times which they have now shared with me just how bad as they are out of options. They have a very low income, under ($1000) 3 small children and one on the way. There are few $$$ to spend, and some days she says only the kids eat. They are good people but need help, They are trying to get assistance but have hit walls with every turn, everything after all revolves around money, and when you don't have it you have few options.Neither of them had a great credit history, but nothing horrific, more unable to make ends meet when you have little ones that need to be fed before the bills get paid.
If you have a home you can consider renting even for a short period of time for a little less money they can get back on their feet. I know she will take very good care of it, do maintenance on the grounds, and be responsible. Her boyfriend works in Oakland, but there is limited income they say they could probably pay $700 if it included some utilities. I do not have much $$ myself, but help when I can. A huge deposit is impossible. I am in Livermore and if they were reasonably close i could help more.She is willing to move anywhere, but needs to be where I can come to them, or where there is public transportation as the baby is due in January. She is Canadian but cannot even go back home with no transportation or money. They simply have fallen onto very very hard times. I pray someone has a situation where you can help. Due to recent events caused by domestic violence that took place for a long time in our lives we have become homeless. Although the abuser is finally incarcerated we have been left with nothing as well as our cats. We have 2 very good cats. potty trained, loves kids and other animals, and they have all shots and are "fixed". The kids are already devastated and while I am trying so hard to keep strong, to find housing, and waiting for the assistance to get it, I am worried about our pets. My fiance and I have been looking for an affordable wedding venue with a great panoramic view of SF and/or the bay. So, we decided to put up a post for private property owners or commercial properties for a very short lease of a wedding venue. We checked out couple of venue on the El Cerrito hills and they're wonderful but very tiny view of the water.
We would like to rent a wedding venue for about 2-3 days, depending on time needed to include rehearsal, set-up, and cleaning.
We're looking for a place that offers a great panoramic view of SF (top of a hill or near the ocean, etc.) and parking for the guests. You may monitor our use of the property, if necessary.
We just need the space and we'll do all the work as far as setting it up and clean up. If you have a huge property and would like to rent us a part of your property, we would be open to that idea as well. The important part of the venue will be an area (balcony, patio, or garden with a view and an indoor area where we can set-up the reception for 100 people and a little area for dancing (we can rent a dance mat).
It'll be for about 100 guests, mostly family and friends (so, no wild parties and no worries for your property).
As far as dates, our preference will be the Saturday or Sunday of the Memorial Day weekend but any weekends late in May 2010 or any weekends in June or next summer might work.
